PUMA VJMF at 11.0 is a joke

yeah but still 2s38 still needs to be upped in br (11.0 minimum)

they damage isnt really worse than most atgm, they just dont overpressure as often.

yeah it’s worse. Most atgm atleast could be manually guided to vehicle weakspot to disable its weaponry meanwhile SPIKE hits to most random place imaginable. The warhead should have similar capabilities as the agm-65g and overpressure the whole crew

original

the crew won’t survive that

you also dont need to stick around to hit the enemy, you can just go into cover, not to mention that missiles arent nearly as precise as they used to.

again youre over exaggerating, an spike shouldnt do anywhere close to the same damage as an agm 65, not even the same as a kornet or a tow, these are simply much bigger weapons with much larger payloads.

Personally, I rather have laser guided SPIKE that I can aim at enemy weakspots rather than fire and forget SPIKE that dont even know where to aim. It’s useless if it can’t even deal any real damage and back to the post topic, the br should be reduced the same as SPIKEless PUMA until SPIKE is fixed and be reliable again

I know balance matters but I think that Gaijin should either buff Spike’s precision or buff its damage because both are a joke. Most of the times a missile either misses or kills one crew member/destroys a module or two.

Again, having spikes is still far better than not having them, there is simply no reason for them to be at the same br, i agree that they should go down to 10.7 but not to 10.3

i know, the thing is that other missiles arent much better off, sure, they my have a higher probability to kill in one shot, but they are also more likely to completely miss and to die before they get to land the shot, and even then that still doesnt justify for it to be the same br as a puma without the spikes.

Both Pumas (and the really all the Spike carriers, except maybe the Freccia which is only 10.3 with 8 spikes) are overtiered

it is 10.7

Oh, was it bumped up in the recent BR changes? I missed that then. Either way it’s at least as effective as the Vilkas, I’d say better.

they all went up by 0.3 after the decompression, currently all spikes carriers are 10.7 or 11.0

i wouldnt say better, you trade 4 extra spikes and a higher rof for better mobility, penetration and a crewless turret

Double the spikes and nearly triple the fire rate is a more than generous trade for 20mm extra penetration and 3hp/tonne (Vilkas engine was nerfed by ~100hp last update)

you still have a crew less turret and twice the depression, this are also massive advantages

The crewless turret is probably the only truly significant advantage that the Vilkas has, yes. But I don’t know where you’re getting the idea of double depression from- both have -10 degrees for the gun and the Freccia has -3 degrees for its spikes while the Vilkas is locked at around +15 degrees, giving a minimum range of around 400m which is a huge disadvantage.

the vilkas has 20º of depression for the gun…

Sorry, you are right on that, I was going off the wiki which is incorrect. However that 20 degrees is only off the side, much like the Freccia the Vilkas only gets around 5 degrees of depression over the front and rear of the vehicle.
