Depends on what vehicle we’re discussing. A T-series tank is more obvious, of course. Though, you still get USA/German mains underestimating how much a lack of reverse-speed can impact you in tanks such as the T-90M.

Yeah IS-3 is a sad chunk of metal.
Can’t stay back sniping because of it’s gun depression.
Can’t brawl because of it’s reload.
That thing is great as a bullet sponge until HEAT slinger appears.
IS-2s aren’t any better as well.

Yeah agreed it does effect it.
Though the difference is most who main one nation only feel as if their tree is victimised.
They dont have overall experience in other vehicles to give a fair judgement.
Like for example the ztz 99s at 11.0, they are really strong tanks, and providing you play around that reverse speed are extemely capable.
However ive had muppets in m1s and 2a4s bounce shots.off the UFP and say the tank is OP, like it has massive weakpoints too.

is2s are sad man, the object 248 is probably the best IS1/2 tank due to the 100mm gun

I pulled up Aced stats from wiki.
That’s still pixel hunting when compared to lolpenning that happens in reverse.
IS-3 has fixed 4x optics while M103 has 6-7.5x with a Rangefinder.
It’s at 7.3.
Of course, most higher heavies are meh vehicles at best.
Also, who in their right mind decided that IS-2 is an equivalent to Tiger II (H) ?

I was just thinking why I feel comfortable doing close quarters fighting with the AVRE and not the IS-3, and then I remembered it’s because the AVRE has enough smoke to cause global warming.

Common for an enemy chasing me in AVRE to get through one wall of smoke just to encounter another… and another… until I’ve finished reloading and am ready for HESH-goodness.
China top-tier is generally slept on, plus they have some of the best vehicles to up-tier to top-tier (AFT09, for nuking Leopard 2A7 in one ATGM, and QN506 (if you have it) for nuking helicopters).

Yeah was wondering that man hopped on wiki to check as well cause i thought the m103 was slower.
the M103 also sits a BR step above IS3 and the heat rn is tempramental af but yeah it is a lol pen.

got its optics mixed up as well, ive just hopped onto the game to check as i was confused.
Its been a long time since i touched the IS3, let alone USSR 7.7, ive been mixed up with the T10A, again apologies.
genuinely no clue xD the Tiger 2 H is a 7.0 tanks 100 percent.

AFT09 has always been a beast, even after the ATGM-nerf (which hardly impacted it). Always good to have in your Chinese line-ups from 9.0 onwards. Especially good if your team has been steamrolled by Leopards and the enemy is starting to spawn camp you. I posted this video a couple times here, previously, but always good to show what the AFT09 can do to Leopard 2A7.

China has some pretty decent vehicles at higher tiers that are basically forgotten.
PTZ89 has an amazing 120mm dart with 443mm flat pen that reloads every 5 seconds with LRF at 9.0.
I’m sure it would bring up much more heat if it was a part of a certain other eastern nation.

Thats what i was running for the PTZ89 but they dropped tanks inbetween that slowed me down, so i just got the two 99s instead at 11.0 rn and the WZ1001.
which has been fun af at 12.0 but its round is quite long in the tooth

Here’s what I mean. Generally, people will have APFSDS loaded and the AFT just eats them up like they’re honey nut cheerios while still being able to unleash 4x ATGM. For example:

I have a massive soft spot for the PTZ89, love that thing. China 9.0 is pretty damn strong. AFT09, PTZ89, PTL02, WZ305/PGZ09 and the others, it’s a good time.

Yeah ive noticed my rounds glide clean through it sometimes. Best to aim for the ammo in it or dont bother.
yeah the ZTZ 88s are potent af as well. i got the Type 69 G II and man its strong af too.
china tbf past 8.0 is insanely good, and fun af

I think 120mm HEAT will perform fine at those lower BRs. Of course APHE will still beat it in the spall.
No need to apologize, IS-3 is an easily forgettable vehicle with little to no pros.
USSR 7.7 is also riddled with tanks that have crippling features, so no wonder it’s not as played.
To me they’re closer in performance to Tiger Is than IIs.
But it’s nothing that a round of WW2 decompression wouldn’t solve.
I still wait for some paratrooper to start defending IS-2 based only on the amount of HE filler.

meh its strange, one minute itll one tap the next itll literally ricochete off.
I mean i got the IS6 and T10A years ago so barely tocuhed the IS3, or IS4M for that matter. as the IS6 and T10A IMO were better variants of the same idea.
ah yes the tiger 1 and Panther tanks that were so hilariously under BR’d for god knows how many years due it being used by blind players.
The tiger 1 can one tap an IS2 frontally in a good few spots, can fire what 4 or 5 shots for every 1 of the IS2, is surprisingly mobile and if you angle right can even deflect the 122 with relative reliability.
IS2 cannot hide that big ol cupola from the tiger 1.
