I wan’t to ask you guys what you think about the MiG-23MLD getting it’s historical 2 x R-73s loadout and with it’s addition it goes from 11.7 to 12.0/12.3?
I think 11.7 is kinda bonkers for the MiG-23MLD considering it can now face the F-4C and the other planes at the 11.0 BR range quite often, i love it but i think it’s unfair for the lower tiers, so a 2 x R-73 + 2 R-24R loadout and irst should be pretty good and reasonable to move it up to 12.0, considering the Mirage F1C-200 is 12.0 with arguably the best IRCCM missiles in the game being the Magic 2s
Yeah, I checked after, it later variants could. Gaijin could make it so and move BR higher, distinquishing by this more from premium 23ML and TT 23M, but imo it would be more interesting if they just added 23-98
R-60Ms are plenty fine at 11.7 (not so much at 12.7), it’s the Yak-141 and early MiG-29s that desperately need R-73s. Like, I wouldn’t be against another (foldered) MiG-23 with R-73s but considering how terrible the MiG-23M is, I wouldn’t want the only MiG-23 in a decent-ish spot post-FM nerf to start facing entire teams of F-16s with the missiles it only received at the tail-end of its service while the Gen 4 planes that were literally built around the missiles continue to be denied them.
12.3-12.7 for 2x R-73s. Doesnt really seem worth it to me. Unless you dont mind the F4s getting Aim-9Ls and staying at their current BRs or the Tornados getting Aim-9Ms and staying at their current BRs
