The Abrams aren’t really underperforming though. The turret basket should be fixed, but it’s gaijin so it probably won’t

what annoys people more is RELIKT ERA absorbing shells for no reason which causes alot of unnecessary deaths

I tried the Abrams after Gaijin added the M1A2T and if this is considered underperforming by US players I don’t want to see it performing the way they want it to. At crew level 1 it has a faster reload than most MBTs in the chinese tech tree (6.4s vs 6.7s) and a better starting shell too, even the DTC10 which is the best apfsds chinese MBTs get doesn’t pen as much as the stock KE-W let alone the KE-W A2 with 628mm
Yep, its easily the second MBT, maybe even the best in a few regards.
But it cant 1v16, so its underperforming
Comparing these stats is kinda flawed in terms of objectively looking at the Abrams in terms of its true performance. Yes, the Chinese M1A2T is performing significantly better, but the fact is, most of the time China is usually facing hordes of Click bots not facing something like teams of 2a7 or strv122. The point is, the match-maker kinda puts the best nation on one team and it tends to be US versus those nations a lot of the time. Hence, the sep and sepv2 stats are dragged down because of the premium click bot players dying in the first 5 minutes and leaving the remaining sep and sepv2 players to fend for the them selfs. The m1a2T is inflated because essentially it’s farming off those level 10 premium players. This is coming from someone who averages 3.5 to 4 KD in all of my Abrams. Plus the sample size for the m1a2T is much smaller compared to the sep and sepv2. Objectively speaking, the 2a7s and strv122s are still the best MBTs in the game.
Wish this was true, I get the best (worst) of both worlds considering I fight Russians, Germans and Swedes
Comparing Tank stats with 600k games difference is a bad way to use stats, on the other hand Abrams is a good tank in terms of mobility, firepower and armor that works time to time but the Turret Masket nerf needs to be less anoying. I dont know why Gaijin didnt give it a horizontal speed nerf instead of removing the ability to aim, same with the leopards too

Still shows that a capable player, that is dealing also with stock grind, can make the Abrams work well. It was the best performing MBT of Dec 2025 in terms of K/D
January Data will be intersting as more people unlock it and its the full month of data, not the latter part
12.0 Abrams are some of the most strong 12.0s out there man, M1A1HC is basically a better Leclerc which sits at 12.7, if anything they should be moved up in BR.
Its worse than that, as far as I can see. THe only meaningful difference between M1A1 HC/Clickbait at 12.0 and M1A2 SepV1 at 12.7 that I can find is Gen 1 thermals vs Gen 2. Thats it (at least that actually meaningfully matters)
Does Gen 1 vs Gen 2 warrant a BR difference? maybe, but at absolute most, only a difference of 0.3, and even then they could be the same BR. Especially when the Leopard 2A6 is considered which is a 12.7 MBT with Gen 1 Thermals
I don’t get why the 2A5 and 2A6 are .3 apart, I don’t think the slightly higher pen from a longer barrel warrant a .3. Very similar situation as the ZTZ99A and WZ1001 but they are in the same br and one of them reload .3 seconds quicker

If that is your only retort, then I will conclude that you have no actual counter argument as to why the M1A1 is not 12.0 and why the M1A1 HC, M1A1 Clickbait or M1A2 are not 12.3/12.7
Much more experienced players are playing the chinese abrams. People who know you have to play it as a light tank or you will suffer! My k/d on m1a2sepv2 is like l.4…my k/d on m1a2t is like 2.4.
