I still dont see the justification for it being “bad”. You have just supported my entire argument for why the Abrams does poorly when played by the US. They are playing it wrong, they are charging into situations expecting to be immune to damage and then getting killed.
Few tanks at top tier can survive more than 1 hit, so this is not unique to the Abrams
Any hit disables turret and/or gun. Even low caliber shots to the front drive sprocket at angle are a kill. The neck is huge and unrealistically fragile. The lfp is huge and a kill. Most HE shots to roof attachments are a kill. Any penetrating shots has much more spall than any other mbt I play…and I play every single nation at top tier! It is generally an infuriating vehicle to play and when I get fed up with it I jump to bvm, t80’s, vt4, or any of the german/swiss top tier tanks for actual fun.
I am sure they are just trying to spread the br’s out. It’s just as easy to kill the sepv2 (big and slow) as it is the m1a1 or hc.The armor hasn’t been upgraded on any of them since…m1a1 has same armor as all the rest I think. They gete heavier but the gin doesn’t think armor has been upgraded. The v2 getting lws has been a good addition. From the m1a2 down the thermals are butt! The dang russian 10.3 turms has better thermals!
The ZTZ99A and WZ1001 are literally better everywhere, they have more engine power, twice the reverse top speed, and better gunner sight zoom. After playing them for a while I don’t see they are equal, closest is .3 apart and if I were to call the shot? it’s 11.7 at best as its actually worse than the Al Khalid when it comes to gun depression. Needless to say Oplot just totally outclassing it for me like they are not even close
Now its serves best as a backup only after WZ1001, ZTZ99A and Oplot have been destroyed. The spall liner of VT4 is in a useless position as nobody shoots there
