History.
Celestino Rosatelli was born in Belmonte Sabino on 8 April 1885. He then first attended the Industrial School of Rome and then the Royal Engineering School of Rome, where he managed to obtain a degree in civil engineering with top marks on 31 October 1910 At the outbreak of the First World War, Celestino was assigned to the Technical Directorate of the Military Aviation of Turin with the rank of second lieutenant. He worked on the creation of the Ansaldo S.V.A, which was presented in 1917 and when it became very famous among aeronautical designers, Senator Giovanni Agnelli requested and obtained from the General Staff that he be assigned to the Technical Directorate of the Fiat Aviation project office in 1918. Rosatelli designed over forty aircraft for Fiat, including eleven aircraft that were never built. Among his most famous creations are the Fiat C.R.32 and Fiat C.R.42 biplane fighters, and the Fiat B.R.20 bomber. The engineer died in Turin on 23 September 1945.
