I’d like to suggest a small but usefull mechanic that a lot of real world vehicles make great use of. A lot of tanks and similar vehicles, even all the way back in WWII, had 2 seperate sets of controls for aiming. A primary set of controls for big swings, and a secondary control set for very minor adjustments for when a target has been acquired ( I know modern FCS don’t technically have 2 separate sets of controls anymore, but the same concept still applies). Games like Hell Let Loose actually have this feature implemented into their game, and I’d like to suggest a similar mechanic for War Thunder as well.
In execution it’d actually work very simply: whenever holding down a key/button of choice, your mouse sensitivity gets lowered significantly, allowing you to make very minor adjustments and place your shot precisely where you want it. Once you let go of the key, aiming immediately goes back to your normal sensitivity, though an option can be added to make it toggleable instead. By how much the mouse sensitivity goes down should be able to be adjusted in the settings as well, with a simple slider similar to the one for regular mouse sensitivity.
You could add this feature to only the vehicles that were capable of doing it historically, or you could apply it universally for all vehicles for simplicity and consistency. Personally I wouldn’t mind it either way, though I would go for the latter option.
Overall it’d be a very minor change, but a great way to bring more realistic features to the game, as well as more depth to gameplay, but let me know what you think, and God bless!

Yeah. Modern tank FCS when i push my mouse 0.001nm to the right and the aim point moves from just to the left of the tank to just to the right of it

Exactly this, having precision aiming would make semi long shots so much easier to land

I would say that shots are already accurate enough. in WT you can aim for barrell, tracks, driver sights etc and hit them with a fair degree of accuracy. If mouse accuracy is an issue, then maybe you need a better mouse? Many of them already have special buttons and macros for adjusting DPI on the fly.
Ive never been a irl tank gunner, but i believe that you just shoot to the centre of mass, especially at extreme range
At close range (which tbf is most maps) sure, but for longer range shots I’d have to disagree. My mouse is fine, and I don’t think should have to rely on external tech for in-game features such as this. “Just shooting centre of mass” is not a very sound strategy generally, especially in-game. Besides, you could just not bind a key for this feature, and you wouldn’t notice any changes, so I really don’t see why anyone would be against this.

Obviously the centre of mass option in game is not the best option, but you have to be grounded in some semblance of realism. I know WT isnt a sim, but getting sniped at pinpoint accuracy at 2,000m+ isnt my idea of fun. Sniping across the the map from spawn to spawn sucks enough as it is with players having a feature in the game to allow you to exploit weaknesses in the enemy vehicles at extreme range.
My centre of mass comment was as i imagine the real world to be. But you have to expect shot accuracy to drop with range. Im perfectly happy with turret/hull options at extreme range and havent experienced any real issues using my own coordination for mid to short ranges.
For context, at 55 my fine motor skills are nothing like they used to be when i was in my 20s, so im no Han Solo.
