100%. Though in my defense, I never preorder anything Gaijin puts out normally (typically high-tier jets). Making an exception here because it’s a quirky heavy tank. More of that, Gaijin.
7.7 would be ideal (for me) to pair with T114, but 8.0 should be fine (well T114 will work just as good at 8.0, anyway). Only thing would be that you wouldn’t want to bring this out in a full up-tier against USSR/China. But that’s not really much different to other premium heavy tanks (Somua SM) with their respective up-tiers (Only a couple of unicorn heavies thrive in uptiers).
Thats how I am feeling on it, i like oscilating turret memes, I like derp guns (bought both the AVRE and CEV), I like American ww2/post ww2 heavy concepts and own the T29 since pretty much day 1.
I am a simple man, gaijin adds funi tank that tickles every box, I buy.
Also chaps, 8.0 it pairs fine with the other premium tank, the T54 autoloader. It should do fine there, any lower even with a reduced rate of fire and it will be overpowered imo, especially if we see it getting APHE ammo.
8.0 is land of the light and medium tank armour, a decent APHE round and that rof and you laughing.
Pretty much myself and all my buddies are. This tank is going to be such a seal clubber. No point in playing around 8.0 unless you’re playing USA for the next few weeks after the update comes out.
It’ll be far worse than the KV-1E everyone used to complain about. At least that thing had a hard time killing 0.7 br tanks above it.
Meanwhile the T58 will have no issue killing anything it sees, at an extremely rapid rate.
Id love to live in this world where the armor of an M103 and the ability to fire a HEAT round like the DF-105 leads to this tank being some kind of unstoppable monster. Are you assuming uptiers don’t exist? or that no one has a sabot, HEAT, or even decent AP shell that can harm the T58?
Thanks to everyone that reported me btw, you really showed me.
The DF105 is an extremely good tank. What a poor example to use.
M103’s hull has great armor, the turret on the M103 on certain angles is very bad.
Again, 3.8 sec reload.
The only thing remotely close in reload is the obj.906, which is a light tank with an 85mm APHE round and 245mm pen & 77g HE mass
The HEAT-FS is crap on the 906.
(This can literally die to 7.92s in the right place, and can barely live .50 cals).
The T58 which is currently the same exact br
Has a 3.8 sec load time
Trolly Armor that is better than you let on.
155mm gun (nearly double that of the 906)
A faster reload.
Oscillated turret.
HEAT with 402mm pen & 3.78 kg HE mass
Remind me again why the T58 shouldn’t be 8.7 or higher?
Bro doesn’t know HEAT doesn’t drop pen ig.
Also doesn’t know HEAT evaporates the 906, so do .50 cals.
Edit: even your images show that the 906’s heat fs is crap, and even the APHE won’t one tap.
Now mix in all the USA turret wigglers…
Indeed. I only played the DF-105 just enough to spade it and I almost got 3 nukes with it just in those 40 or so matches it took me. It’s an insanely good vehicle especially compared to the other oscilating turrets as it is at least decently stable unlike all the others.
- 155 mm T180 (T58): reload speed: 2.57 → 3.75 s,
Literally unplayable ./s
As expected, gaijin leaves things subject to change on the dev and modify as required to balance, shock/and/or/horror.
I would maybe has soon it gets anything else than Heat and
Hesh (i would rather use shrapnel than hesh)
HEAT and HESH were the only ammo ever made or proposed AFAIK - so don’t hold your breath!
Did they prove or dis prove it could use everything the t30 had
But with less performance because the t58 gun is shorter afaik
rangefinder is the important bit to be corrected, 800m max ranging was errr, not looking too hot lmao.
I have no idea
