It does count as a devblog I think
DM33? Not M900? And a premium, really?
If you wanted a premium Stingray there’s plenty of other light tank hulls the turret has been fitted to. Hell that just makes it ridiculously easy to model.
M551 Stingray would have been perfect as a premium

Anything but giving the AGS M900 or moving it down….
No M900 at 12.0 is painful
Good choice for a premium, since it’s a relatively conservative variant and players won’t miss out on the core experience.
Nothingburger
it’s marked as devblog
With M900 it will be 12.7 material
It would be absolutely horrible because of atrocious mobility.
This will be an update of packs
That’s the R2Y1. There is some speculation that an unfinished hull was set to be completed as R2Y2, but this was never actually completed.
While this technically still makes it an unfinished prototype, it wouldn’t have been like any of the R2Y2s in game, since no cannons were planned for it, only a single torpedo. The R2Y2s that were removed were not real configurations at all.
I see, Gajin is sticking to their word of ensuring prems are always worse than their TT counterpart.
I want this me262 now
The 480kW engine option was just an optional feature iirc, not actually equipped on the real tank. This is similar to thermals or ESS on the original Stingray.
That said, this could explain that the devblog says it’s faster than the original Stingray, which is otherwise just wrong.
Base Stingray uses 400kW Detroit Diesel 8V92TA, while Stingray II uses an uprated version of the same engine that does 410kW. The 480kW engine is a further uprated engine that was offered for any customers who might want it, but it was not standard or even tested on the Stingray II iirc, the same way that Thermals on the original Stingray were offered but not fitted.
I don’t mind them adding the 480kW engine though if they do, but I will hold them to that standard on any other vehicles in the future as well.
sums up my reaction towards it. its unique but also meh at the same time.
I rather have this than another copy paste
especially that 120S.
And while we’re at it, can we get the Stingrays both to use metric horsepower like other vehicles in this game?
The original Stingray has a 535hp engine, but that is mechanical horsepower which translates to roughly 543hp using the metric system that is applied to other vehicles in this game. The same goes for the Stingray II, which should have either a 410kW (557hp) or 480kW (653/659hp*) engine, not just 550/650hp.
*Not entirely sure if they round the hp or kW values, because for this one you get a 6hp difference depending which value you convert
