All metric horsepower values in game are modeled as PS
So 535 hp = 542.42 PS (or metric horsepower as well).
So many American and British tanks in game have wrong hp values but only insignificantly off because they were using non-metric horsepower.

Also doing the math here, that would give it ~29.2hp/t, which would be very good, though that would go down to 25.1hp/t with the heavier armor kit. Still very mobile, and the armor kit is likely a modification anyways.
Yeah, it’s mostly noticeable on very high power engines or very light vehicles. Still, this seems like something that’s really easy to fix, so it should be done where it’s known.
This is an improvement IMO as it doesn’t lock a specific play style behind a paywall. This isn’t a FOMO addition.
I’ll probably reward this behavior as premiums shouldn’t always be copy-paste but they shouldn’t game breakers either.
Premium…
Pre-orders always count as devblogs, just not regularly scheduled store events (like anniversaries)
Premiums usually come first, no shock there.
It is a devblog, just not a vehicle devblog
Ideally they would’ve Cadillac Gage Stingray prototype the premium, which would’ve even been a slightly lighter version of the Thai Stingray, but with a slightly worse LFP layout against MG fire and a worse radiator (does that do anything on ground vehicles in game?) among some more cosmetic differences.
The Stingray II seems too much like an upgrade with the 480kW engine to be a premium, though if they make the 410kW premium and a separate 480kW for the techtree I think that’d be a great choice.
Still not sure what they are going with engine-wise here. They called it “slightly faster” than the original, which honestly doesn’t sound like the rather big jump from ~25hp/t of the Stingray to the ~29hp/t the Stingray II would have with that engine. But at the same time, if it gets the 410kW engine it’s just slower so that doesn’t fit either.
Maybe they just mean top speed, which went from 67km/h (Stingray) to 71km/h (Stingray II)?
That would be an amazing choice ^^

What I said still stands. It’s not as bad as locking something truly unique to a FOMO event or a truly unique overpowered premium like the T58. It’s an improvement. It’s different enough without being overpowered.
They still gotta sell enough units. If it’s not different enough that won’t happen.
Yeah probably won’t be overpowered. It’s a slightly more armored Stingray with thermals, that depending on the engine will have slightly more speed but less power, or be a lot faster and likely just have a higher BR to match.
And no matter what engine they add, the other can technically still be techtree if they want, though it might be harder to suggest the 480kW variant that was never actually fitted.
Not sure about that. There’s 1:1 copies with some cosmetics that sell quite well. All the Senrai tanks of course, but also things like the Leopard 2A4 or F-14D that are currently on the front page for the best selling premiums on the store.
If the vehicle is popular and good enough, it will sell. Especially the higher you go in the techtree, as you get a harder / more time intensive vehicle to research immediately, combined with premium bonuses and unique camo/decorations.
So, i have three questions:
A) Which gen of thermals is present here?
B) Is it going to be 9.3-9.7 or 10.0 (which IS kinda critical)?
C) Is reverse speed worse than OG one or i just can ignore that because if it’s not a T-72 level reverse than its present?
Point taken.
To be fair everyone was initially told there was going to be no TT F-14D. Copy paste premiums do sell. It just limits their appeal a bit if they are entirely C & P.
For instance I heard the RISE Predator didn’t do so well.
(Although I bought it, specifically because it was C&P and because I hated the trend of overpowered premiums like the T58 or the initially way under tiered BMPT-72)
Not entirely sure, but it’s Hughes HIRE, so it should be gen 1 thermals. But I’m not fully sure how the game handles things so take it with a grain of salt.
I’m guessing 9.7 probably, maybe 10.0 if it gets the 480kW engine but even then it might just stay 9.7
Shouldn’t be lower than the original, since it’s the same powertrain, just with uprated engine.
Ok, at least not gen 3 which got one certain vehicle up a whole BR combined with basic ERA. However, gen2 woulda be nice. Ni modo.
I see it as 9.7 vehicle but i don’t decide on BR placement, so guess i’ll wait for dev to clarify such.
Then it’s OK as i have other candidates for a comment on a lack of any reverse speed.
I’m expecting 9.7BR. I don’t know if it will be 10.0BR good. Either way I have a line up to slot it into.
You, people, do play line-ups?
I tend to. I have a 9.7 lineup and a 10.0 line up, among dozens of other lineups. I fight until I can’t anymore. I have never one death left. I prefer not to use backups.
An anti-air, multiple ground vehicles, normally one helicopter and 1-2 planes.
