Pre-Order: F-14D Super Tomcat

They didn’t have to add a yak. They are currently adding other aircraft that could have been there then.

Such as?

TU-128,MiG-31,TU-160 were all real and carried real weapons, but they decided it was best to add a prototype, so they honestly should do the same for the US, every single US vehicle past BR 4.3 is real so why not let the US have just 1 proto jet

Thats like saying they shouldnt add F-15GE because B1 Lancer could be added instead. I honestly dont know where are you going with this.

The TU-128 could have absolutely fit in that line and so could the MiG-31, they also coulda added a TT mig25 there too, I understand the TU-160 not fitting there but why even add a proto before real aircraft that were introduced to actual militaries

I dont wanna be a d!ck, but as a reminder that we’re here to express our dissatisfaction with the F14D premium, not to argue about the YaK 141

So? It still doesn’t take away the fact the f14D is capable of using aim120A and all that was needed was a software update also it shouldn’t matter either if it’s a production vehicle or prototype vehicle to be able to have access to weapons that x vehicle tested successfully and one small thing was missing like a software update for the apg71 witch no question about is capable of using modern technology like AMRAAMs,aim7p,aim54c+

By their criteria its F-14A that could potentially receive AIM-120, not the F-14D. At the same time there is evidence suggesting that F-14A would never be able to use datalink with AIM-120 as it only ever tested them in STT setting.

@Forum Moderators can someone please for the love of all that is holy remove the stupid off topic nonsense from all parties talking about Su-30s, yaks, migs, f-15s, etc?
Someone surely can help keep this on topic since so many people are so easily baited into giving attention to matters and people they shouldn’t 🫣

It’s not off topic, it all circles back to the F14D, yak 141, F15 Proto, KH38MT

Inb4 they start putting current use munitions on it for sh*ts and giggles.

That would be incredible, giant middle finger to gaijin then

It won’t happen though as they quit making parts for the F14 a long time ago, the one they want to fly again prolly won’t ever fly unless they spent a few million to get it sky worthy

not 12.3 or 12.7 plane.

did you really think they they add something better then the f14a back then when theyr were getting a lot attention from low iq us aviation players *OMG TOMCAT type of person.

son… quit the game

F-20 / XF5U just in top of my head.

When will you understand that Gaijin runs on double standards? They’ll push the bar when it benefits them, but then hold strong on the imaginary line they created.

F-20 (literally made to be exported) wasn’t suppose to be a proto but Lockheed Martin lobbied the US government to push the F16 as the jet that they exported, the US also never planned on using the F20 for their own military, so it should’ve went to another countries tech tree anyways and you have a paywall for a proto jet while the yak 141 is F2P

The XF5U is a proto but low tier that’s why I said below 4.3 but I wasn’t thinking of that

Yeah you’re right they skipped over many aircraft when the entire line when coulda stuck the MiG-25, TU-128, MiG-31 from 9.3-12.0 in that exact line

And btw with the Mig31 wich version because that depends all

Any early version that could sit between 9.3 and 12.0 but they went from yak 38 straight to yak 141

the early version of the mig31 has a pesa radar
and the r33 no way in hell will that one sit below 12.0

mig31b is a 12.7 minimum.

Yeah that’s why I said TT MiG-25 aswell, besides gaijin is very likely to add an overpowered Russian vehicles at a lower BR anyways, there was plenty of room to add things from 9.7-12.7

R33 aren’t even in the game, they would most likely add it for their special love Russia, but like they say with the F14D and “balancing issues” they can just leave the R33s off the airframe
