At least five different equally valid threads about issues with the F-14D, and 1.3k+ comments on the main one… If Gaijin doesn’t stop digging in and trying to defend what they’ve done, it’ll only get worse. US mains are nothing if not stubborn.

That’s why qualirfication about an incoming statement would be a good first step.
This statement should be a bog one if this is supposed to be a longterm solution to the issue at hand.
This is by far not the only issue.
Content Creators speaking up and bad steam reviews coming in are also an issue for them.
They can ignore it but that will make everything worse for everyone including their own staff.

Tbf iirc that backlash was rather minor in comparison to the free fpe and parts/“why not give everyone a free abrahams tank” stream.
Those were hilarious times lol.
I would love to see a free F 14D when you purchase 100 € wort of GE. Would be great deal for an extra … 20 €.
They could do that back then with the XM 1
And then there are a lot of other problems (deeper strategic problems)that can’t just be solved by a patch, some of them years old that are still around and are just pulling down the overall mood
Ngl them doing bare minimum and believing that will blow this all away is kinda insulting.
Yeah you have some who will use this to justify their purchase. But I am more entailed to believe they already bought it like a good drone and now are using this table scrap as proof of Gaijin’s generosity.

The issue with the phoenixes getting a maneuverability buff isn’t the reliability of the sources. There are plenty of adequate sources. The issue is that it requires dual plane performance, which gaijin is yet to model BTT. So even though it’s known that the missile’s turning performance is lacking, it can’t be buffed via bug reports until such a time the developers choose to implement said feature or equivalent.
Same for the mark 47 instead of the mark 60 motor being used. That was an intentional choice by the developers, and as such it can’t be reported for higher thrust.
The only thing that’s missing from the phoenix that would be somewhat reportable to my knowledge, would be marginal increases to the warhead and to it’s lofting program. As I do recall there being some information towards them being wrong in game, but I haven’t followed the information on that enough to know if people have enough that’s adequate for a bug report.

So instead of giving them an artificial buff until we can model them accuratly we are just going to Nerf them into the ground until it gets modeled at some point?

I also very much want BTT equipped missiles to get improved (I have several bug reports regarding another BTT missile, the AAM-3); but it does seems gaijin is just waiting for a proper implementation, yeah.

My main question, is who at Gaijin is making these decisions, and who are they making them for. On one hand, you have the very plain and simple “You asked for the F14D, so we’re adding the F14D”. And on the other:
- Not getting its accurate missile loadouts
- Comes with an $80 paywall (That’s MORE than the price of modern day AAA games)
- Very poor communication with the player base about the changes they’re making to it
- The very blatant play on nostalgia, or FOMO with the preorder bonuses
- There’s probably more, but I’ve been to irritated to do any proper research

The key words are… “…no current plans…”…
Always a possibility at a later date… at times you will find a Premium version of something and at some point later there can be a TT version… it has happened before… so, just have to wait and see
