If they had given the AIM-9M and the AIM-7P to the F-14D, I would have bought it instantly. But since that’s not the case, I won’t be buying it. Considering how much Gaijin loves money, they could be making way more if they just gave the F-14D the missiles it’s actually supposed to carry…
I mean it’s the bare minimum cuz it’s not even a balance factor, F-14D couldn’t use earlier phoenixes at all, so it’s more about paper v reality at the point of adding 54C+

I mean it’s true but the main issue imo with a lot of recent packs that gaijin just makes that they sell less just by doing some promotion and balancing shenanigans with vehicles added. IMO 120s on even 13.7 F-14 would be an instant buy for many people. I mean it’s up to gaijin but like this thread may be a good feedback and an example for the future additions.

What?! Why not just make a premium F-14B (Upgrade) instead of absolutely murdering the F-14D to fit it into the same BR as the F-14B?! Or hell, just pull an F-4EJ ADTW and make the prem F-14 a premium version of B with a special paintjob???
Gaijin, I’m begging you, please don’t be this stupid. Give us a TT version of the F-14D, and give both it and the premium version the weapons they could actually use in service! You CANNOT claim to be a historically authentic game in any capacity when you introduce the best variants of iconic jets in a nerfed state (using missiles they were physically unable to fire in service) at $80 with no real TT equivalent!

I think there’d still be a fire about it. Giving a plane those missiles at a BR that constantly sees fox3s and IRCCM missiles is terrible. Legit ZERO REASON why this plane can’t have the 7Ps or 9Ms. Hell we have an F15 at 12.7 with 9Ms.
F2A with 4 AAM3s and SU33 with R73s and 27ERs (IOG AND DL which the 7M doesn’t have). Tornado with 9Ms and AIM120s, premium SU30s with 4 IRCCM missiles and 6 ARH. There’s no excuse for Gaijin.
