Yes, the problem is balance; the reason people want it to have some more advance weapons is because it unbalanced at that BR.

Yes have fun using that barely noticable low speed performance to dogfight while also dodging IRCCM 50g all aspect HMD guided IR missiles and 20G ARHs launched from AESA PD radars while you have… an all aspect AIM-9 and mediocre SARHs launched from an abysmal PESA
All for the low cost of 80 bucks!

What’s missing:
- AIM-54C+ (can’t use normal AIM-54C)
- Maybe AMRAAM
- AIM-9M

Gaijin’s treatment of the F-14s in general (IRIAF aside) has been abysmal, and they expect people to just lap up a premium with not even the armament it had in service?!
Give it 9M and 7P.
AIM-7P as well, but not AMRAAM; AMRAAMs were only fitted to a modified F-14A for testing

AIM-120A on the F-14D should at least be considered, especially since this thing is being sold as a premium. There is a NAVAIR Standard Aircraft Characteristics document for the F-14D Tomcat from July 1985. In the ordnance section it lists AMRAAM provisions for AIM-120A, and the store station table also shows AIM-120A AMRAAM carriage on stations 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8.

This is a game far from realism, the AIM-120A would actually give it a reason to exist as a premium and make it more attractive to buy, not just nostalgia bait for fans. Pretending there is no basis for it does not really make sense when the document is right there. If this were a soviet aircraft with an “official sekrit document” showing a weapon provision, I highly doubt it would be dismissed this easily. But since it is a US aircraft, even documented capabilities somehow need to pass a much higher bar, while other nations often get much more generous interpretations.
I really do love the tomcats and this is really sad.

F-14D was in use up to 2006, so P sparrow is a must and I’m not sure why they didn’t think to add it.
They can’t even make correct 3D models and some textures.
There are still AN/ALR-45 antenna on gear door, engine instruments are analog like F-14A instead digital one, etc…

I’d prefer Gaijin actually fixing the AIM-54 and adding C+ to adding more napkin armaments.
