So who exactly is the target audience here?
Enthusiasts for the F14 are never gonna buy this due to none of its features being implemented and it just being a reskinned F-14B
Grinders wont get it since this sad hunk of metal is just free food for the swarm of premium SU-30s with better FMs, missiles, radars, and basically better at absolutely everything
People who just want the looks wont buy it since, again, its just a reskinned F-14B, wont be suprised if you guys reused the same model tbh
And people who want kills wont get it since its performance in every field is miserably under performing
Only people who i can see buying this are low level premium mains who have no idea what theyre doing, buy the premium to get into top tier instantly, and then end up just base bombing anyways since they ABSOLUTELY wont suceed with dogfighting in this

Being a premium is fine - i guess - but surely it could get some AIM-9Ms and AIM-7Ps at the very least, not to mention the AIM-95.

They did the bad thing now. Its show bias when Su-30 came you get every thing, but for F-14 no only 9L and 7m. so bias.

Y’all coulda made the F-14A w/ AMRAAMs the premium and given us the F-14D in the tech tree, but noooo, you had to steal yet another production aircraft from the US and lock it behind a paywall like the A-1H and F-4S :/
Not to mention, pre-order-exclusive camos again… Y’all gotta stop this FOMO nonsense and let us buy them with GE at some point, it’s ridiculous the amount of historical content locked behind pre-orders (cough cough, Free French Naval Ensign)…
And that’s not even mentioning the massive, glaring loadout issues.

A single modified F-14A was the only one that ever got anywhere near mounting AMRAAMs. 14D should have 54C+s, 7Ps, and 9Ms… And of course, performance of the AIM-54 in general should be heavily buffed given the wealth of bug reports regarding it.
14A with AMRAAMs would be balanced by its terrible engines and avionics.

so f14a with modifications can and did carry amraams but the f14D with a f15e based radar cannot?
Correct, it was abandoned due to cost and purpose.

It can, it just never did, the F14D program never got far since it was already considered outdated by time it even started
Correct, 14D never had the software update required. Technically possible I guess, but I’d rather Gaijin unbugger the AIM-54 and add the C+ variant so we can have a Phoenix slinger with a good radar for once rather than have yet another boring AMRAAM carrier in TT.
An F-14D stripped of it main air-to-air complement as a blatant cash grab because the US doesn’t have enough premium jets already. Great job Gaijin.
If you wanted a premium F-14 why not the F-14A Late with TF30-P-414As, why even specify “Early” if a “Late” version wasn’t planned?
Or the F-14B(U) or F-14D(R) or F-14B (F401) or even F-14A+ or the F-14A AMRAAM testbed if a higher BR F-14 was really necessary.
