No, it shouldn’t. Unless it fired the actual AIM-120s in a simulated combat scenario or live-firing, then it would justify adding them into the game, but it didn’t fire real ones and instead only fired dummies.

They can’t add AIM-120s to F-14D because they didn’t field or give them to them IRL. They only used them for testing and research on whether they can be compatible with them or not.
Then at the very least, allow us to use non-limited loadouts in custom games. Many of us are here for historical authenticity, and being forced to use much worse armament with an aircraft that likely never used it in the first place really puts a damper on immersion.
This applies to everything. Nukes, next gen IR missiles, mmW Brimstones, etc etc. We know its for balance, at least allow us to have fun with it in our own custom battles.

Like, do people think adding the AIM-120s will be a good enough reason to buy the F-14Ds? Just give them AIM-9Ms, and that’s a done deal. You aren’t going to be super overpowered playing that thing anyway, lol.

Enthusiasts for the F14 are never gonna buy this due to none of its features being implemented and it just being a reskinned F-14B
Grinders wont get it since this sad hunk of metal is just free food for the swarm of premium SU-30s with better FMs, missiles, radars, and basically better at absolutely everything
People who just want the looks wont buy it since, again, its just a reskinned F-14B, wont be suprised if you guys reused the same model tbh
And people who want kills wont get it since its performance in every field is miserably under performing
Only people who i can see buying this are low level premium mains who have no idea what theyre doing, buy the premium to get into top tier instantly, and then end up just base bombing anyways since they ABSOLUTELY wont suceed with dogfighting in this
