10% more thrust is not worth a BR increase in 99% of cases.
Well what remains to be said other than best of luck gaijin, hopefully you fund enough customers that will see upgraded radar as something worth 60-70€/£/$ over TT F-14B :)

IIRC, NAVAIR manual says D model has exactly same performance with B model

So I just found out that the F-14D can carry AIM-9Ms, and they didn’t give it to this jet for reasons I don’t know. Also, people need to stop assuming it can carry AIM-120s because it can’t. It could only use the latest AIM-54s and AIM-9s IRL, also why would people buy this over the F/A-18C Early? It’s more maneuverable, gets slightly better missiles with the AIM-7Ps, and it’s at a lower BR. I’m probably guessing they will make the F-14D at 13.3.
Either way, this thing shouldn’t be a premium; it should be in the tech tree for free. Gaijin Greed knows no bounds.

It doesn’t get AIM-120s, it only got the latest AIM-7s, AIM-54s and AIM-9s.
More weight negates the extra thrust.
There was an earlier post stating that it could carry Dummy 120s which I agree should count
It literally had more advanced avionics and computing system to be able to carry amraams

It can, but due to post-war budget cuts and a desire to field the F/A-18 more, it still shouldn’t get it. Just because the systems could support using newer missiles doesn’t automatically mean they should get them in-game. Tanks, Aircraft, and Ships should only get weaponry if they have LITERALLY fielded and used it in combat, rather than using it in testing, trial runs, or implementing it in the near future.
It’s like saying to add the E-50 universal series of tanks, even though they were paper tanks and were going to be fielded and used in WW2, despite Germany already being defeated by 1945.

No Aim-9m’s or Aim-120’s?..Hard pass. I’m not paying $80 for a plane that’s going to get it’s ass kicked by Su-30’s with better missiles. I’ll just shoot it down with the F-16 MLU…Oh well we can wish for a tech tree version with better missiles later. Literally the same as the F-14B with a little better radar. Gaijin is laughable…
