I think the st21,ast-21, and asf14 would’ve most definitely been as competitive as 4.5 gen aircraft or arguably better while the F14D could’ve have been as competitive as the f15E if it wasn’t for the budget cuts
So you don’t play US at all then, cause the F15GE was doa, the pobit is DOA still, F18C is in a worse state than the pobit, literally the only good “American top tier” is the IRIAF, the MSIP F15 was awesome but theyre slowly destroying it with all the new vehicles being added, even the premiums suck aswell and the F14D isn’t gonna help the US in its current state, I’m curious now, what planes in the US are “solid” besides the GE, they even fucked the F5E aswell, the F5C is in a sorry state
All I can think of is the F8E, F8U2 the F15GE is now only decent, IRIAF, if you wanna get where America excels you literally have to go back to like 9.3 with the F104 and F106

In real life? it absolutely would have destroyed a few 4.5 gen fighters , but not in game, look at the BMPT(2010s tech) plays the M1 Abrams (1970 tech) constantly, they goes to show how far ahead the US is technologically, other countries are getting things that was made 4-5 years ago in game, they have yet to even add aim 9Xs(1990s tech) to the game yet(air wise) cause it would change the game completely
F14 really is only gonna struggle with Rafale and typhoons IRL cause of meteors, everything else is peanuts
Vidar is 8.0 and was made in 2019
KPD, KPS, also stats that don’t show like death rate, F15GE dies in like 80% of its games while typhoons and rafale die less than 75% of the time
Win rate is a good indicator but they cripple US technology by not adding their actual weapons, if the F15s got their 9X you would see win rates boosted very quickly
Not really. 7P has the 7M-H build loft, different upgraded and digitalized electronics (i won’t start with the names) , different proxy fuse, more optimized against low altitude targets with sea skimming capability and resistance to ECM, less prone to notching/chaffing etc.
It’s like 2 gens later in the history of the missile even without the DL. 7M>7MH> 7P block1 > 7P block 2.
Now that’s based on real features, i don’t know if they are capable of implementing these feats yet and in what way.
From what i’ve understand matching info (i haven’t seen anything with straight answer yes or no) it couldn’t use the DL , because the DL was the same waveform with AMRAAM’s and since they scrap AMRAAM software update they scrapped this as well. However, at the time AIM-54C+ was more than capable and way better than the mess it is in the game so , they were already covered the BVR ranges with that.
AIM-54C+ with its upgrades was already AIM-120A/B tech level but with different qualities.
For example it was faster, but less agile, but its flight pattern with big lofting was topping you down better from higher alt, so practically would need less G-Overload.
It would be way worse at less than 10-15km ranges though , because it didn’t have the pulls of 120…
Plus there is the case that they gave R27 35G pull , which is the dual plane value (and not 25G -LIke Sparrow - it would have in Single plane) , but 54s still got 17G Single and not the 25G dual (or single like they did with R27) even when AMRAAMs and R77s came to the game.
They do some crazy stuff for supposed balancing , that don’t really balance things…

Im currently sitting at 62.5% winrate and 2.72 KpD with my 15C MSIP im currently spading.
Id say its perfectly fine plane.
So pardon me if i say i have some doubt about your assesment.

Yeah it is a good plane, but it is slowly becoming a thing of the past with planes like the SU33MKK/SU30MK2(both are lower BR and still better) being put in the game
Even downtiers are making the plane unfun to play

No, I don’t agree.
First of, I bought the F-14D, since the last aircraft i grinded in that tree is the F9F. I wanted the F-16C and I grinded only what was needed. Bare minimum. Now I got my Maverkick moment too. Thats all.
With regards to the P2W. At the BR 12, this aircraft will face way better opponents having BR13. You are not going to win a price with this. I have the F-16As at BR12, being this Netz, being the french F-16A Squadron and F-16A event. The BR12 is a very bad rating. You are not 13, but you are no under 12.
You add it to a 12.7 tank lineup and you’ll face 13.7 aircrafts. You add it to a 11.3 tank lineup, it will force the tanks to face 12.7 opponents just because you run the BR12 aircraft. BR12 Abrams will face 12.7 tanks, leaves the fun out.
The aircraft will suffer at BR12. I knew it bought it because its a gorgeous looking aircraft and i had to collect it.
In summary, where would you place the F-14D?
Both premium Su30s have sole advantage over 15C MSIP, HOBS missiles. Thats about it.
Yes its annoying I have to awkwardly shuffle my eagle around in WVR in order to get a good firing solution while they can just yeet R-77 my way, but id take eagle or even F-16C any day of the week outside of that (and believe me, i have MKK as well) (and even in WVR both eagle and falcon can still hold their ground due to better FM).
Im not saying it isnt funny F-14D is borked as ultimate tomcat loadout wise or that it is sitting just 0.3 below MK2/MKK but thats issue of MK2/MKK being too low rather than F-14D (or rest of the US planes, as you suggest) being uncompetetive.

Exactly, when was the last time the US was actually the top dog? Back when the tomcat first came out? Which is 4 years ago and the only reason the tomcat was best was because nothing else could compete, we will never see another update where the US has a top tier jet again, even the F22 is gonna suck when it’s added, I guarantee it
I’m pretty sure the US was the first military to put thrust vectoring on jets and have yet to get thrust vectoring on any aircraft yet
not really I seen many people have bought it
