Pre-order: Battleship Gneisenau and Battlecruiser Sevastopol

They already kneecapped French naval content with the choice of picking the Strasbourg as an event ship, so I kinda doubt that France will have any top tier content to justify the grind tbh.

So, unless Gaijoob moved away from the “one unique ship per refit” thing, I don’t think there will be any alternative option.

Gaijin could have taken the lazy way out and done this:

Or alternatively, this so-called “Pre-order - KMS Gneisenau Pack” should have been an actual pack that featured the Gneisenau in different configurations:
1.) as launched
2.) historical 1940 configuration
3.) final 1942 configuration
4.) the planned 380 mm refit
And even then, pixels should not be worth $79.99

I was referring specifically to the battle of Jutland where her rudder jammed and she sailed out towards the High Seas Fleet resulting in a large number of them using her for target practice. She took 15 hits but only lost 14 crew and 16 wounded.

Yes, that’s the core issue is how OP the ship is, even if it was added with her actual guns as a premium it would be bad enough having it spammed out. So yeah I’m a bit salty about it and being hyperbolic with some of my examples.

Damn! I was wondering tho: can we please have destroyer, cruiser, battleship seperate lines like the Bomber line and fighter lines? If Gaijin was as half as good as Wargaming in WoWs than naval would not have 5 players.

BTW: Pre-order in Gaijin’s language means: “Pre-order a really good-looking and good-performing ship that we’ll nerf as soon as it is out 'cuase German”.

Yep, happened to me too. Attempted to make a couple suggestions, they were rapidly shot down with no explanation. PMing the relevant staff got me no response. You love to see it.

Hard pass - $80 rofl most games seem to offer pre-order discounts on stuff this expensive where’s the incentive to buy this.

Wouldn’t work.

Wow balances a destroyer Vs battleships through things like HP and damage. Totally fictional things

War Thunder models realistic damage and there is no way a destroyer should ever be the same BR as a battleship

they are listening, but more to the sales numbers than people complaining
if the number of sales stays higher than the complaints then nothing will change

The problem is if money from the packs going to be reinvested in naval development especially gameplay ones, not just another models, or will be spent on Air and Ground as it was last two years.

I mean, I hate it when 1950s DDs get 4.7 while WW1-era 1918 BBs are in 7.0. In 7.0 CAS is stronger so they should have AA but would told Churchill Su-30s gonna spamm Kh-38’s at their Battleships in WW1?

Hopefully it will be spent on improving modes that actually matter.
Naval + all Sim modes should’ve been EOL’d months ago.

Sometimes the game and it’s players outgrow something, and it’s for the best to acknowledge it sooner than later.
I won’t sugar-coat it, making Naval and other Sim modes to actually work decently and thus having a healthy playerbase is really risky, which is something I highly doubt Gaijin is ready to do for little to no return.

According to Statshark, aforementioned modes combined hold like <5% of the total playerbase, so pulling the plug on those (especially Sim) is a really easy way to free up some server space and time wasted on development and balancing.

It will be spent on the bonuses of higher ups, obviously.

Don’t you know how modern companies work

As I’m sure you’re very well aware, up until June 1941, Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia enjoyed a very fruitful mutual economic cooperation. Germany bought raw materials, and USSR bought technology, including some Panzer IIIs and a partially built heavy cruiser (!)

Why then are you trying to create an impression on the readers, that a sale of 38cm naval guns would be the most impossible thing ever?

As the US

No, because that means someone will still have advantages.

Reversion to aiming how it was at least a year ago would be best.

I dropped playing arcade naval for the new aiming system alone.

Plus it lends to more boting as is, as is can be disgustingly easy to disguise now.

especially since the Sevastopol was laid down in 1939, and the Bismarck herself was completed, and Sunk before Operation Barbarossa started, While Tirpitz had also been commissioned before Barbarossa

the biggest fantasy in all of this is the USSR even being able to create even a quarter of the ships it had planned considering the absolutely laughable state of their naval production capability
