Potential Chinese Ground Force Additions

Not a new vehicle but I was reading about the Type 62 and I wonder, did anything ever came out regarding the so called “Type 56 APFSDS”? I’ve seen that the last time it was mentioned there was a little debate about its penetration and that it could be used by Type 62 and Type 63 but I didn’t see more information about it, so my question is does anyone has more information about this ammunition? It could be a nice substitute for the awful APCR round that the tank has but I understand that in theory it will have less penetration than the HEATFS but it will have more than the APCBC(? Similar to the Type 69 situation

Maybe I should check the old forums

I don’t think anyone would use this over HEAT-FS or APCBC. This tank gets a great APCBC round btw. Anyways it would be nice to see this in the game.

Would serve more of a purpose if there’s a Later Type-62 variant that still uses the 85mm implemented at a higher BR though by that point you better off just adding a Type-62 or even the Type-63 with a 105mm

Like with Miraz05 said the APCBC and even the HEAT-FS are still good enough rounds to fulfil their roles that an APFSDS round would be redundant anyways

As long as it’s mostly unique vehicles and not a bunch of copy pasted or variant vehicles then why not. More diverse vehicles on the field would be cool!

we already have a ZTS-63 firing DJW-85, but it’s not a very good tank itself, so a 62 with it can be more interesting.

Even Type 63A?

If the change is big enough i wouldn’t care tbh. But the vehicles with only minor armour/ era changes or something like a extra mg are kind of a waste of space imo.
Only because there are so many unique vehicles that could get added instead.

I looked somewhere and I saw somebody already made the suggestion and it was passed, according to him the round should have 280mm pen at 0m on flat surface, so 20mm less than heatfs but still has better penetration than what Type 69/PTL02 uses as stock(kinda odd actually) and it will probably perform better than the inconsistency of the heat damage

PGZ09 turret on a ZBD04A hull, has the same anti-laser APS found on the ZTZ-99, aswell as 8 TY-90’s. Sadly it remained as render only (not even sure if its official render or not, as there is literally no concrete info, just speculations, very few at that too)

not official, it’s a imagination of potential improvement.
there was a plan adding missiles for PGZ-09, even when it’s still developing, some kind of 10km level FNF, and a model was made.
I guess it’s successor is LD-35 system.

Trainer VT-4 probably

The more I look at it the more it doesn’t make sense to me ngl.

It only took 75+ years, but this is clearly a Chinese attempt to copy the ROC’s M52 SPH…

This is clearly a trainer tank. You can see the turret lacks most of the sensors and the gunner sight is also missing. It’s using a simplified turret without any composite armor which is why they added two weight simulators on the turret cheeks.

I see, so this is for export as well?
PLAGF doesn’t use the VT-4 so.

Most likely
