Potential Chinese Ground Force Additions

Hi all, I created this topic for sourcing unique ground vehicles for China that could be added to WT, especially ones for lower ranks of the tech tree, focusing on basically anything moving with at least some anti tank capability.

If any of u have suggestions, comments, or more sources on these do let me know. I will be expanding this list too whenever I see cool vehicles/etc that haven’t been added already or aren’t well known about.

Light Tanks/Vehicles

(ROCA) Wansheng 2 万乘二

M24 turret+gun mated with CM21 chassis, prototype only.

(ROCA) BA-3

During the Sino Japanese War, China received a lot of much needed Soviet equipment. China also had many of their own armored cars but the BA-3/6 is likely one of the only ones viable for WT given it has a viable anti tank gun.

(Manchu puppet state) BA-10

One BA-10 was captured by Japanese during the battle of Khakalin Gol from Soviet or Mongolian army and put to use by the Manchu puppet state, the 2nd photo shows a painted insignia. Like the BA-3 this also has the 45mm 20K gun.

(ROCA) Type 65

(PLA) Type 62 (301 Anti Air Gun)

Prototype tank planned to use 76mm, fate used for nuke testing.

(PLA) Type 75 105mm equipped BJ2020S jeeps

Jeeps with 105mm anti tank guns and can carry 7 rounds

(PLA) ZTD05

105mm rifled gun waterborne attack vehicle

(PLA) PCP001

82mm mortar mounted onto Dongfeng EQ2050. Although this is a mortar, this vehicle can possibly use armor piercing projectiles with a pen of roughly 100mm, since the gun is a 2B9 clone

(PLA) LVT(4) (ZIS 3)

LVT(4) mounted with 76mm ZIS 3 gun

(ROCA) LVT(A)-4

LVT with M8 howitzer, The LVT-A-4 is already in WT in the US tree but it is entirely unobtainable.

Chinese made tank from captured type 97s, differences include better LFP armor and engine bay armor removed.

(ROCA) Chi Ha(Type 94)

ROCA Chi Ha modification that uses the Type 94 75mm gun.

(PLA) T-34-85 with TPO-50

PLA modification to equip T-34-85 with TPO-50 flamethrower charges

(PLA) M48A3- China North Industries ERA

Along with a type 59, a one off M48A3 prototype was trialed with ERA made by NORINCO

(PLA) WZ-1224

The Army of ROC received these in the early 1950s, not sure on combat record.

(PLA) M41 Gorilla

Multiple were captured from the US by the Chinese Volunteer Army during the Korean War. One is still surviving.

(ROCA) M10 (Type 91)

ROCA conversion of M10s used during the Chinese Civil War with roof plating and 105mm Type 91 gun.

(Dubious) Anti tank motorcycles

Several one off anti tank motorcycles have been made.

I think we can omit the copy and paste content. There are many independently designed and modified vehicles to choose from
some of them are familiar to us. For example, obj211 and wz132 use 76mm gun
as low-level vehicle (rank2-3)

wz132 also has two versions using 100mm gun

I don’t know the origin of this vehicle. At present, there seems to be no information about it, only two photos

Also am for it, at least with what I suggested I am trying to find vehicles that would suit rank 1-3/4 first, the higher ranks don’t have as much of an issue with originality. Also do note while there can be a lot of photos or accounts of these, I still find issues with finding reliable sources/documentation which is why I reached out with what I suggest.
