Potential 8.7 tech tree tanks for USA

I’m kind of worried about the Ripsaw though, I mean 3.5 second 0-60? On a TRACKED vehicle resistant to Russian .50 AP? It sounds really fun but might be balance nightmare

Isn’t the Ripsaw the crewless tank? I said I was in full agreement with the worries about it…

Oh I thought you meant you fully agree with it being added.

As for being crewless, it doesn’t really matter since they can make ammo, critical electronics, power supply, and communications equipment act as kill conditions

Still not the best medium tank. Idk why the Sherman II is higher than the M4A1, but the Cromwell V is leagues better than the M4.

Again, America doesn’t have the best vehicle in even one of the categories. The F-80A-5 is extremely powerful, but it’s still not as good as Russia’s early jets.

The Tomcat is sad, and F-15, F-16, and F-18 aren’t U.S exclusive.

Tomcat was only OP when it was first added cuz it was a topgun cash grab, and those days are long gone.

Imo, most of the problematic CAS (e.g Yak-9K) isn’t even American.

If it’s given a grenade launcher instead of autocannon, then I think it will be just fine. Also, the armed variants will be considerably heavier although it will still likely be Warthunder’s fastest ground vehicle.

Yeah, having the 0-60 time of a relatively high performance car already makes it the fastest ground vehicle in game by far

actually very good point, a lot of revenge bombers arent that great at object permanence if you move a little bit. Ive unfortunately met a lot of SU9 mains to ruin matches as of late.

Cromwell V id say is on par as its lacking in armour and has the same (kinda) gun without APHE and trash armour, cromwell 1 however is absolutely that

the yak should be a lot higher but American fighters with huge bombs are a lot more braindead to play and get free case kills.
Ive probably had a better experience of yak9k than most as I’m a spitfire cas player and gain total air superiority pretty quick. I don’t think I’ve been killed by one either actually but I may be misremembering

xm800T never got tows (that would have been a different designation), the T95 is already in the game at 8.3 lol

There was a variant of the XM800T platform with TOW launchers built for testing and it still exists

Its more real than a lot of vehicles in WT so is game for addition

how would unmanned vehicles work thematically? If you get damaged you can’t repair unless by a manned teammate?

Its not the T though

yes it is. the “T” refers to the “Tracked” variant of the XM800 ARSV series of vehicles, hence why the wheeled ARSV is called XM800W

That’s only because it was a test vehicle; it would have had a different designation in actual service.

correct. the ARSV vehicles were never in service so more specific designations were not so important.

Its still an XM800 T variant no matter

looks scuffed

yea theres a reason why neither were adopted, they sucked and served no doctrinal purpose that Sheridan was doing better or a bradley was necessary

Warthunder has the T95E1. What I want is the T95E3, E4, E6, or the T95 with the starship turret.
These all have upgraded firepower and/or FCS.

How I imagine it, you cannot repair unless you’re in a capture point or a teammate is nearby. If your mobility AND firepower are both destroyed, then you’re booted from the tank.

that thing has no armor. It has armor packages but 20 mm will still destroy it.

In what configuration was the ripsaw when that measurement was taken?

UGV will be a whole thing for WT maybe in 5 years at the min. but who knows how gaijin plans on making them play.

I imagine that if it is controlled remotely, then it’d have components that’d replace crew. EG Power Sources, if whatever receives the signal is destroyed, etc. Similar to FCS

That was unarmed. It will obviously be heavier with armament, but will still be the fastest tank in the game.
