Not arguing here. Why do people say it’s bad. I had a great time in it. Gun one shot everything. Armor can take a decent amount of hits. And absolute glorious reverse speed.
Tbf i havent enjoyed a single soviet tier 4 or 5 tank but granted i dont own the msta or the object 906.
But China is pretty cool not gonna lie.

I recently bought the Object 140 (I know it’s rank 6), but it’s an absolute animal, and very fun to play as well.
I’m German main, but I have never felt threatened by the IS-2.
Because a punch to the face or lower body will knock it out instantly.

It does have some stuff going for it, but compared to stuff like the tiger 2h or t26e5, super pershing and the T34, it just struggles against them terms of armour and reload bar the T34 iirc
USSR has a lot of bias but I don’t think the dude who made this post knows in which ways there is bias
Exactly. Tiger 2s and t26e5 can be played much more efficiently vs multiple enemies due to having similarly strong armor for brawling like the IS-2 BUT have a much quicker reload to back them up vs multiple enemies, especially once you get isolated. The good reverse of the IS-2 in that case would be its only chance, retreating after each shot immediately and losing map control for every shot taken.
BUT i also think that it is still quite good (maybe just not in the way that most people expect it: as a frontline brawler), the gun/ammo efficiency is very good (just very problematic that in the end a king tiger can still kill you two to three times in the time you can shoot once) but it has other strenghts. Oneshot kills to the sides are a bit more complicated on the IS-2 (especially for stuff with a bit weaker guns/ammo), if you really want you can use the cursed reverse into battle strategy AND what i somewhat find most important is the insane DHSKA performance. Being able to aim that thing almost straight upwards, especially if you bind secondary weaponry aiming coupled with the IS-2s insane survivability to bombs, almost invulnerability to almost every plane cannon and a belt with 3/4 rounds (IIRC) incendiary ammo in its belts makes it an almost invincible bunker to planes that a lot of times sets planes on fire with the first round that you hit. Its a special playstyle for a heavy tank for sure, playing much safer than t26e5 nd king tiger for example simply due to the lacking reload. Its a bit similar to the maus syndrome, you can only (or have to in the IS-2s case) advance onto the map rather slow and rely on teammates to help you out with enemies when youre disabled or on reload. But shines in other ways for sure.
It does look cool and fun but not cool enough for 59,99$
