I bought a few hundred boxes this week—I didn’t keep an exact count. Net-wise, I now have about 30 million less silver than when the current series started a week ago. Since you get back roughly 25% of your spending in silver, I likely bought boxes worth 40 million. Getting four vehicles for that price is probably fine. I’ve participated in every series so far and always landed a few vehicles—usually three. I view it as a way to burn off my excess silver. When the first series of boxes launched a few years ago, I had around 350 million silver that I couldn’t find a way to spend. I think I’ve pushed my luck far enough this time, though, and I’m holding onto my strategic reserve of 70 million, since the anniversary sale starts in a few weeks.
People would be spending hundreds of millions and wouldn’t get anything 😅
Well, I don’t think there are all that many people capable of spending hundreds of millions. That requires tens of thousands of battles—with good results and correspondingly high silver earnings—plus the discipline to buy newly researched vehicles only during 50% off sales. Also, you shouldn’t grind with a Premium Account; while it boosts research speed by 100%, it only increases silver income by 50%, meaning you usually spend more than you earn and thus can’t build up a large fortune.

I’m getting ready to finish the French ground tree. The Leclerc is 9 battles from being my most played vehicle of all time, with a 2.48 K/D.
It’s my favorite tank in the game and in real life and is a blast to play with great mobility, good reload, and over-engine horizontal traverse
I was lucky enough to get a talisman on it in a random crate about a year and a half ago I believe.
I just finished the MSC last night (I got the Leclerc when it was still Rank VII). I’m going to spade it and the Jaguar while I research the Leopard 2A6NL and the Mamba (I’m mostly finishing the tree to get ready to research the EMBT)… then I just have to grind out a few low tier vehicles and the Cuirassier.
Next, I’m going to 100% the British tree. I only need the Abrams, Badger, as well as some more vehicles that have been added recently lying around the tree.
But who plays boring naval artillery exchange just for SL?
