I believe the Su-35 is more advanced than the Su-37.
Su-35 has Irbis radar and Su-37 has the Bars radar.

Su-37 its older than Su-35s. Su-35s has more modern system that the T-50 prototype Used until it switch to it own system.

only the j10 was tested with tvc and maybe the j20? at least that’s what I found on google, the su30mkk is older than the su30mki which was the first one to get tvc engines and after that the su30mkm got it and finally the su30sm/2 also
j11 is based on su27sk
j15 is based on su33
j16 is based on su30mkk
all of them got the old AL-31 normal engines and later they got the chinese ones, but they still lack tvc (at least thats what i read about it, i could be wrong tho)
First there was Su-35 then they made the Su-37 as a tech demonstrator and then they improved the Su-35 into Su-35S which is more advanced than the Su-37
So in the first place Su-35 was not more advanced than Su-37 but it became afterwards
But the Su-37 actually was designed as a more advanced Su-35, it was built from a development Su-35 airframe. It’s simply less advanced than later Su-35 upgrades because, well, it participated in developing them
The Chinese Su-30 practically does not have a TVC.
Su-30SM isn’t 14.0 material.

Why would you think that? It’d be handily the best dogfighter, with better BVR than the Su-27SM, why would it be the same BR besides “muh Russia suffers”
A two-seat Su-27SM with weaker engines and a better radar is a sidegrade from RU’s current top pick and doesn’t compare to the likes of the Typhoon, Rafale, and F-15E, even with TVC.
it has the same engines as the current su27sm…just with tvc, canards, better radar, still with 12 missiles, of course I agree that the r77 is bad and the plane is 1 ton heavier, but overall it is actually an upgrade over the su27sm, you cant put that bellow 14.0

Su-30SM uses AL-31FP, which has 27,560 lbs of thrust and Su-27SM uses AL-31FM1 which has 29,760. 1 ton heavier with 1 ton less thrust in exchange for a better radar and TVC (which is hardly relevant outside of a 1v1) is fully within sidegrade territory and doesn’t warrant a bump to 14.0.
from all the videos you can find, the engines produce the blue afterburner which means it’s not the old AL-31F, it doesn’t make sense for them to have the old al31fp with just thrust vectoring, I don’t remember where I saw it had the same engines as the su27sm, but it makes sense to have it, as the plane is heavier it would need a better engine from the start.
You can look this up. AL-31FP, the engine that Su-30SM uses, has 1 ton less thrust than the one that the Su-27SM uses…
well, I guess I was wrong then, I assumed that since it also has blue afterburners that it would make sense that it would be the same engines as the su27sm (AL-31FM1) but with tvc, but still, there is no place other than 14.0 for this plane, you can argue that the rafale and EF, maybe the f15e too are too low, maybe they should be at 14.3 or more
N011 Bars and TVC isn’t at all enough to make Su-30 14.0-worthy, especially given the tradeoffs. I don’t see any reason why SM2 shouldn’t be added as RU’s 14.0 instead, as it’s much more suited for the role and wouldn’t introduce anything that upsets the balance of air battles.
sm2 has the al41 engines right? but i dont think gaijin will give russia the sm2 (i could be wrong, they also didnt add the first variant of the EFs and rafale so it might be fair to give russia the sm2), it would also help the chinese mains since they could also get an upgraded j16 and not the first variant of the su30mkk which is even worse than the current su27sm

Yea, compared to SM, SM2 has AL-41, Irbis PESA, 2 more A2G options, and R-37M capability.

at this point, i just want anything with a better radar than the su27sm one (and yeah i hate the 29smt or the yak141 so these 2 dont fit for me), so i can accept the su30sm for now lol, tvc will be fun for 1v1s but if gaijin added the sm2 i will be very happy
Su-30SM hopefully comes with the R-77-1, Russian Fox 3s need a buff
