Positions of additional Flankers in the USSR tech tree

I heard a Sukhoi Su-30 is coming to the game sometime in 2025. As well, we might see others Flankers such as the Su-35 and even Su-37!
So, the purpose of this topic is to debate what each plane should be (tech tree, squadron, premium…), if in tech tree then where should it be., as well as what BR should it have.

Here’s a quick presentation of each Aircraft:

  • The Su-30 was developped from the Su-27. It was first intended for export to countries such as India (Su-30MKI) and China (Su-30MKK), and mainly featured improved multirole capabilities compared to the 27, as well as canards for some versions. It proved so capable that the Russian air force decided to use it in their own military, mainly as the Su-30SM.
  • The Su-35 is the direct successor of the Su-27: it’s focused on air superiority and air defense, and is basically a more advanced 27: better avionics, better airframe, more modern cockpit… It is the most advanced Flanker in service.
  • The Su-37 was a modified Su-35 used for developing new aircraft technologies: better avionics, better cockpit, better engines… It didn’t enter service and was only used as a technology demonstrator for later Su-35 upgrades (such as Su-35S) and others flankers.

To start, here’s how I can guess the placements:

  • Su-30SM under Su-27SM, 13.7 I guess?
  • Su-35 probably in the same line, under the Su-30SM. Probably 14.0?
  • Su-37 probably not in the tech tree, rather squadron, premium or event vehicle, idk what BR…

Yeah the SM is my best guess for the 30, it’s the most used in the Russian air force…
We’ll also probably have the Su-30MKK in the Chinese tech tree, distinguishable by the lack of canards

hope j15 comes instead actually its unlikely but j15 has canards and avionics of j11B basically a slightly worse su30 due to the j15 being based off of su33 but has better engines and avionics

China might get both, the Su-30MKK is an air force fighter while the J-15, based on the Su-33, is a navy fighter… They’re probably different enough to be both in the Chinese tech tree

i just would rather not grind down russia as im at the J8F right now i also hope they get the blue after burner engines

They could very much be in different lines, for example one under J-11A and one under JH-7A, or one in tech tree and the other as a premium/squadron/event vehicle…

i hope tthey just folder all flankers under the flanker line
my hope is order goes j11B under j11a and j15 with j16 under that

Su-35 will go under the 27 for sure. Now Su-30SM /2 is also used by the navy so it might go there instead. Su-37 will most likely be event or a premium.

as far as i know, chinese flankers also don’t get TVC engines unlike the su30sm/2 and su30mki

edi: and also, isn’t the radar of the su30mkk the N001VEP? Which would be the same as the current su27sm? that would be horrible D: it would have to be another version of the su30mkk with a better radar to give chineses mains something worth to grind

When you say Navy line you mean under yak141? I mean why not but iirc the 30sm isn’t carrier capable…

Yes I mean under the Yak-141. They are not carrier capable but the navy still uses them.

Hey after all why not, it’s always better to scatter aircrafts across several lines and we don’t have anything else to put under the 141 since for some reason the 33 is premium

From the game perspective it makes little sense to put it under the Yak-141 but I bet they will since less players have that line than the Su-27 one. I think they put the Mirage 4000 in the American import line for the same reason. Also why they put the J-10A in the RoC line.

by tvc you mean thrust vectoring right ?

for j15 i think it has a bit increased thrust just because its a carrier plane but not much j16 should be same

yeah, even tho thrust vectoring might only help at low speeds, it is something that helps the flankers and the chinese ones dont get this, what about the radar? they have a better one for te su30mkk? the n001vep would just be sad D:
