Nope, we’re not talking about the F-14 anymore. We’re talking about you not being able to speak civilly. I said nothing to you that prompts you to be disrespectful.
The F14A is actually quite decent at dogfighting and providing you don’t do what 90 percent of wt players do and just yank the elevator control, you’ll out rate a mig29 in most scenarios.
I believe due to it’s weight and energy retention.
Also does mean managing wingsweep…
Though I can’t remember if the Mig29 FM has been touched up recently

The biggest absurd is that, even the 9-12 could carry R-73, I don’t know who was such a smart person to remove these missiles and in a later time add the premium hornets with way better anti air missiles.

US mains. When MiG 29 was about to be added and people saw it on dev server there was a giant uproar about “Russian bias” Fulcrum op pls nerf and so on. So gaijin remover R-73s but gave it R-27ERs

Then the F16 had it’s realisitic G limiter, for a short period, was removed and once it was removed at the same time the damn MIG29 FM got nerfed xd
leaving the F16 miles ahead in performance and still is one of the best dogfighting platforms to this day.

only things that are better than the f-16a are the eurofighter, rafale and gripen ( gripen and f-16a is a somewhat even fight tho)

It should have stayed at 12.7 now that F-15A/J/Baz are 12.7 the MiG-29 with R-73 would be its perfect nemesis.

honestly only problem is if this stayed 12.7 F14A would be screwed as it can barely flare due to thermal signature of the sun R73s are immpossible to flare in dogfights in it
Dogfighting in a F-14A is a one way to hangar.
It is a gatewidth missile, to evade an R-73 you only need to lower your thrust to 0% and flare and go to the opposite direction of the missile.
Gatewidth missiles reduces its range of view to a small tunnel vision that aims to the heat of the engine, so lowering to 0% the thrust and deploying flares and changing direction to the opposite is enough to evade a R-73
good luck doing that mid dogfight with a mig 29
I mean, they are kinda right. You don’t really want to be in a dogfight in an F-14 period. Unless maybe full downtier where you can somewhat clown on 11.7-12.0 bricks flying around.

Use flaps and it becomes better than most 4th gens in a dogfight. Especially the B.
