[Poll] with multiple options for the changes to Naval Battles

My favorite game modes are Naval Arcade and Ground Arcade. I don’t play this game to suffer—I play it to relax and unwind after work. But everyone here keeps saying, “If you don’t want to play Naval Arcade, go play Naval Realistic.” Do you really think I don’t know what I want to play? I’m looking for the shortest, most enjoyable type of match possible. Like many others, I can’t spend an entire day in front of a computer.

You’ve completely ruined the Naval Arcade mode. It’s practically unplayable now. The AI-controlled anti-aircraft guns and turrets can hit targets flawlessly from dozens of kilometers away. For coastal vessels and aircraft, the game has become nearly impossible. Aiming is a nightmare—frustrating and riddled with illogical mechanics. Honestly, I’ve seen very few updates this poorly executed in my life.

In your attempt to make the game more accessible, you’ve made it completely unplayable. The old aiming system with green indicators was far better—it was predictable and allowed players to aim based on movement patterns. What exactly are you trying to do here? What have you accomplished? I think I’ve had enough of this frustration. I won’t be playing Naval Arcade anymore. And just to spite the people who say, “If you can’t play Arcade, go play Realistic,” I won’t touch Naval Realistic either.

The only naval mode I actually want to play is Naval Arcade—with unlimited torpedoes, endless aircraft bombs, faster ships, and more fun. I’m not going to let a broken system and lost enjoyment—caused by your choices—push me into something else. What people enjoy, what they want to do, and what makes them happy is none of your business.

I simply miss the old Naval Arcade mode, and I truly hope it gets fixed and restored as soon as possible.

I could write a whole book how to improive Naval. To make it short: The most pressing issue is superfast ticket loss in matches featuring cap zones. Either 3 cap maps or the one with one huge circle. They are over that fast, you just cant to **** in capital ships. Capital ship matches just need some time to unfold. But usually tickets are down before action truly starts.

Maybe its even time to abandon the cap mechanic for Naval. The covoy match type is much better in this regard.

I see this more after the first or second deaths. You just can’t back into the action in time in a slow battleship.

some times it’s just a “bug” Community Bug Reporting System devs forget to count AI players when calculate when ticket need to start bleeding

This really is one of biggest problems.
Other being AI gunners being just mindless. I really don’t get how naval can have so many different AI gunner effectiveness. What I mean by this Player ship AI can’t hit battleship sized target from 2km, but they can take out plane easily from max range using proxy rounds and closer even without.
Then you have bot AI targeting that is just insane. They can hit ships unlike player AI gunners, but they also seems to have insane accuracy against planes.

It is so fun when flying a plane and you fear AI PT boat more then destroyer or even cruiser AA.

Look at the likes, they don’t seem to support these dismal changes.
Point and shoot.
Being targeted by numerous ships from across the map.
This is now more like a carnival arcade game.
I went back to air arcade but really miss naval.

Yeah. That’s pretty random.

I don’t know why we’re looking at player stats, and what they have to do with a ton of Naval Veterans missing how Naval Arcade Aiming played before they torpedoed it into Mobile Gaming mode.

We’re all sitting here waiting for a reversal or… word from the developers or… something. All we know is that we have to keep making noise about how awful it is, and why.

And it’s awful because it removes skill and player agency. It is an anomaly in War Thunder gameplay. No other game mode in War Thunder has removed aiming in such an egregious fashion. ANd no other community would stand for it.

Imagine the riot the Tankers would have started if Gaijin did this to Tank Arcade.

btw. no mater of your woes about that “nobody gonna play with new aiming, everyone hate it” StatShark - See All Player, Missile, and Vehicle Statistics shows increase in games played on all boats and ships April vs March despite of all of the bugs and that fact that April not even ended yet.

My bad, i looked at “All Time Stats”

Monthly stats probably not full for april-march, cause i played JDS Ayanami recently ant there is no info on this and NRB stats diff is the same, gonna check when april ends.

lol. My dude. The proof is in the game. Play a match. Try to shoot a player. You’re not. The AI is. Try to shoot a boat over a strip of land and watch the gunners target the water. A well known phenomenon. …you’re not doing anything but refuting facts as if they weren’t facts. Which, I can tell you, I’m very familiar with these day. People making up “facts”.

NO ONE here is going to accept that they have MORE autonomy in the game NOW then they did before.
