The shot youre showing is one in a million and even then, why are you aiming at the cheek, thats like shooting the pike nose of an IS and saying its op, aim for the turret basket, roof, ring, hull, etc

And yeah having the extra tank is nice, but nobody in their right mind is gonna spend a solid week grinding the misery that is top tier US for whats a copy pasted SEP, and a copy pasted M1A2 tbh if it werent for the gen 2 thermals
The trophy should be foldered with the SEP and SEP V2, or the SEP moved to a folder eith the A2, the ROSY and TROPHY V2 foldered, and V3 alone, because all this grind is absurd
I mean, “grinding” is just… playing the game. You would play the game whether there’s a new tank or not, so… why not have the new tank? Were you not going to play anyway? Or do you only ever play “to grind”, but also so long as it’s “no more than a week” worth of grind?
2nd gen thermals AND M829A3; are you not yet aware of the enormous advantages M829A3 brings over M829A2? Not only does it have an ever so slightly superior penetration; it also possesses higher effectiveness against all Kontakt-5-armored tanks and is also the heaviest APFSDS round in the game, which will lead so increased spall amounts and damage upon penetrating.
In the Dev Server, SEP and SEPv2 are already foldered. The MBT line is therefore in line with all other nations; 3 MBTs to the top without counting foldered vehicles. It’s the same for Germany, Russia and France, for example.

In real combat, you don’t always hit exactly where you want when you, the enemy and the enemy turret are on the move on uneven terrain.
Let’s be honest though. Those kinds of shots are less than 5% of all the shots hitting the Abrams turret cheeks.
If the SEPv3 gets it’s increased weight (which is just a matter of time) and it’s improved hull armor it will be one of the better Abrams, but when it only get’s it’s increased weight with no changes to the hull it’ll easily be the worst 12.7 Abrams.
Still not bad to have as a 4th or even 5th MBT spawn.
Being able to ufp a 12.0 tank doesnt help that much lol, and as for the extra pen it falls off quick to being worse at range, and worse on angles. A2 can already pen K-5 too so being able to… pen more K-5 doesnt help, and before you bring ip ufping a T80 why are you aiming for the ufp of anything in the first place
Long rod spall is based off remaining penetration, has nothing to do with shell mass iirc

M1A2 > SEP/SEP V2/ trophy > SEP V3
Or
M1A2/SEP > SEP V2/trophy > SEP V3
So dont shoot the turret, the entire hull is a one shot guaranteed even if youre using an autocannon
Gaijin already decided, the bug report managers just spew random nonsense to deny all bug reports on it, meaning theyve made their choice and its unfortunately never gonna happen, the most were gonna see is the dev M1A1 hull improvement
I mean, if you tell me; “X round can’t pen 11.0 Russian tanks, while Y round can pen all 11.0, 11.3, 11.7, 12.0 and 12.3 Russian tanks”… that would make it even clearer to me, hahah.
Hull down. Hulls aren’t always fully exposed. So if you shoot at the turret side and the enemy moves the turret and it hits the cheek, you would pen any Abrams except SEPv3.
A2 and SEP are too far apart in BR to be in a folder.
I do think SEPv2 Trophy could and should be foldered with SEPv2, though. But the last thing I would ever ask is not to add it just to avoid grinding, hahah.
Yeah, basically; I acknowledge that it’s not MUCH of an improvement, but, after 7 years (since M1A2, as, until now, all HCs, SEP and SEPv2 were just the same, but with better thermals) of no improvements at all, even the SLIGHTLIEST improvement is worth clinging to, hahah.
Alot of people dont realize that all the improved hill is gonna do is make is resist 2S38s and autocannons, realistically against other MBTs its just slower which, consering the only kne of two gimmicks in the abrams is speed, its not a good trade

I mean it will give the Abrams more survivability against badly aimed weaker darts like M829, DM33, DM43, 3BM42, 3MB46 and BTA4.
I think the SEPv1 will still be the best 12.7 Abrams no matter what, not that this is a fully bad thing since the SEPv1 is an incredibly potent MBT, but the improved LFP armor would at least give the SEPv3 a reason to exist in game.
@Smin1080p_WT are there any plans to add an IRST to the SEP V3 so it can actually utilize its time fuzed shell? Or will the fuze be left to manual operation
The 12.7 version have 13x gunner sight and gen 2 thermals, they just see much better and aim much easier than the 12.0 version. Only 12.0 Abrams that has equivalent FCS is the M1A1 AIM.
