I’m pretty sure r24t is the best non irccm missile, even then u less sub .8 km rear aspect its trivial to flare them

it doesnt totally overestimate it, from my testing it is just INSANELY hard to achieve those numbers.
The 29 has insanely tight sweet spots for its turning, you can achieve most values in statshark but you need to pull the perfect amount of AOA to do so

Difference is that 29 can run away fairly easily (as long as it’s an isolated 1v1) and reset the fight.
and then eat a missile in the process, you cant simply disengage in a fight

it has 5 minutes of afterburner time (if you go full AB - wich you would while running away)
it also only has 15 pops of CMs at 50/50 chaff/flare, so defeating missiles is more of a last clutch situation then something you can do constantly

Yeah you’re not eating 9l bro, those things are super easy to flare in any plane that’s not a 14. Sparrows you can easily out roll or in sim just multi path

Mig-29 STR on statshark is actually ok at 22deg/s at around 700kph. The slow speeds are wrong though.
Also the Mig-29 will not ratefight the F-14, it will often force the 1C by offsetting into verticals, best option for the F-14 is to start running away at that point since you’ll still have a speed advantage when it starts losing positioning

I don’t think it’s that good I’m just saying it’s definitely comparable to the fa18 (still worse imo). It definitely has options and deserves to be at 12.7
It would be a pretty big nerf for that plane, as it can much easier make use out of ERs than 73s.

Also whoever cited F-18C… no, that thing’s America’s best dogfighter for a reason and is currently rather correct which means the Mig-29 shouldn’t win in its current state.
