Until the thrust curve is fixed, the drag fixes a while back are to be understood as accurate.
Cause incorrect thrust can make it seem like that drag is too high because the thrust to drag ratio itself is wrong due to thrust being too low. Drag could very well be incorrect [active claim that has burden of proof] but that’s an unprovable claim until thrust is fixed.
then dont say the flight model is correct because it very much isnt

flight model has definitely been nerfed, whenever gaijin updated the game to the patch the 16c came out they changed the 29 and f16 fm a lot

it is already dead no one is really playing the base mig-29
becasue you have to play your frontline fighter as a missile bus, that dosent get missiles
with a nerfed FM that gaijin butchered after giving it a missile it shouldnt have

i dont think so i am ever grinding post mig23 planes in that line atp, its just mid
i would still grind it for the prospect of the Mig-35
but i would recomment doing that after getting the Flankers
thats why i want to make it historical
32 flares/chaff at top tier sounds like a no to me
unless gaijin finnaly decides to add ecm
advanced 29 variants from the 90s got 120 cms but the one from the 2000s onwards are stuck with 32 not including smt

I’ve played them with 27ER and honestly it was their saving grace. Having R-73s as your best weaponry on such a plane at 13.0 would be it’s funeral.

also wrong, shortly after release the oswald number was nerfed to unrealistic lows, wich makes the lift-drag ratio worse.
also wrong for several reasons. The 29 doesnt meet the target Gs listed in the handbook, it operates in the LPM instead of the NPM engine mode and its oswald number is too low.

the speed range youve specified is wrong, the thrust underperforms below 1000km/h and actually overperforms above 1400km/h
Was that the same patch that added the Mig-29G? I know that one nerfed EVERY plane in energy retention. Everything lost a bit of turn rate across the board.
There was also the takeoff flaps “nerf” that fixed the ability to use takeoff flaps at high rate speeds with the Mig-29. The mig29 enjoyed a big advantage by using takeoff flaps at speeds up to 550kph IAS before.
patch that added the smt and the f-16c, so a bit before that, yeah mig 29 somehow used to gain rate when using flaps lol. FM WAS overperforming before
From my tests there were 2 patches that did the sustained rate nerf across the board. The last one was the one where Mig-29G was added, the other might be that one, but I can’t recall.
I’m not entirely sure what’s going on with the flight model of the MiG-29. Could someone explain a little bit about it, because I always hear everyone saying that it’s wrong, but if that were the case and it were common knowledge, Gaijin would have done something about it by now or atleast talk about it
basically people say that it loses too much speed when pulling hard, missing thrust, etc etc. its sustained is fairly accurate, even overperforming in some areas and underperforming at other areas
I don’t know if it is realistic or not since I’m not an IRL mig-29 pilot. But most people underestimate the current Mig-29 FM, especially the 9.12
In most places, rd33 claims more power than the ingame values, but again, if its common knowledge how gaijin hasnt pronounced about it
