Medium-sized and light fighter aircraft in the game now seem to have been deliberately targeted.
Compared to heavy fighter jets that have weapons that are completely inferior to the ones carried by the aircraft in question, their high-altitude performance is even worse, they can carry fewer weapons, and they are located at the same or even higher BR. i mean the migs are kinda obsolete irl too so that part is pretty realistic lmao. still, perhaps its a good idea to lower the mig29k’s br to 13.3 afterall, judging that it wont get the 64cm instead of 32 despite the report being accepted for 3 days now

In actual combat, BVR has become the primary combat method in high BR scenarios. Aircraft without BVR capabilities are all treated as A helpless and vulnerable sheep that is at the mercy of others before reaching the advantageous combat range of 20 kilometers. Those aircraft that focus on BVR can actually choose freely whether to return to the airport or descend to engage in dogfights after launching all their missiles. If they deliberately keep a distance from you, you will have no chance to attack them.
In the past, the most commonly used weapon for aircraft equipped with R-77 to counter these aircraft at long distances was R-27ER. Although this was not an active radar missile, it was very powerful. The problem was that the MiG-29K might have to remove R-27, which meant that its R-77 could only attack targets within 20 kilometers (even 15 kilometers). However, other aircraft with the same BR could launch missiles like AIM120 to suppress it from a greater distance.
Ironically, the MiG-29K with only 32 decoys would fail to evade radar-guided missiles if it carried too many chaff strips to avoid detection. In dogfights, it would lack the necessary heat-flame projectiles to defend against attacks by missiles like AIM9. Conversely, the same situation would occur.

Give it 8 X R-77-1, give it a decent amount of countermeasures and put it at 14.0. Alternatively with 6 X R-77-1 if 8 is somehow too much.
And another matter is the MiG-29M which should be somehow buffed at 13.7. It can’t be at 13.3 but the MiG-27K at 13.7 would make it worthless. Honestly I want the MiG-29K be higher than 13.7 to have a reason to play the MiG-29M.
Why did we even get this plane? It’s the biggest nothingburger of all time. 32 counter measures and only 6 R-77s, with the abysmal MiG-29 flight model and radar…

It doesn’t have the same flight model as it has a a much higher wing area. Check acceleration and turn performance on statshark. Of course the engine nerf is incoming so keep that in mind.
the reason to play the 29m over current 29k will be 2x ammount of countermeasures and the ability to carry r27 and 8x r77 missiles, mig29k is the one that has become useless over the last 2 weeks. i dont even know if it will be worth taking on 13.3 instead of the smt solely because of cm’s. What you said would make perfect sense with the mig29 9-31 (basically a naval 9-15 with r77-1)

What’s with people this update asking for better armaments for their aircraft with no BR changes? It also need Kh-31Ds. Ideally it should have also had R-77M and R-74M. But really Gaijin should have just simply added the 9.31 instead of the 9.41R nerfed to 9.31 performance.

So what, it should just be a huge upgrade over the MiG-29M at the same BR? It should just be completely broken and untouchable by 12.7s because it’s not the top 1% of 14.0s? Yikes, dude. This is why compression is rampant at high tiers.
It’s a sidegrade to the mig-29n/smt, it shouldn’t be at a crazy higher br than those 2 planes
