If they didn’t have manual override of the flight controls, there is no reason for it to recieve the button. Just because they are unstable, doesn’t mean they can’t get a button (Euro button shenanigans).
it did they just wont give it cause its unstable
Given how the Eurofighter performs with the AOA button, there would be absolutely no point giving the Tornado and F-14 them, especially in the Tornado’s case since, you shouldn’t really be dogfighting with it at all…
But planes that aren’t designed to NOT have a fly-by-wire guiding the airframe genuinely struggle to even turn properly without rolling by themselves, it would be more of a hindrance imo
it would allow increased aoa in dogfights
The tornado is just an absolute brick in game, a bit more AOA would not help the thing. Pretty sure I read somewhere on the forums that it’s underperforming but I cannot confirm or deny that.
Again, read what I said about planes not being designed for it. Without the fly-by-wire (The AOA button essentially turns it off in War Thunder, whether it’s realistic or not I don’t know) it would just make the F-14 and Tornado WORSE in dogfights due to their uncontrollability, the Eurofighter and the J-10 is a testament to this
Honestly I agree with you there, with the Tornado you need speed… and increased AOA would just decrease that a lot.
in full real controls it gives you extra AOA in a dogfight and doesnt loose control at all
That’s full-real controls… different to what the AOA button does. There’s still inputs from the instructor but it becomes so unstable as the plane will no longer know HOW MUCH input it needs to fly the aircraft.
It doesn’t entirely disable the instructor in-game, which is what full-real controls does, you’d honestly be better off using them.
you cant replace the aim that pointer aim gives you
Then keep using full-real controls, there would literally be no reason to have an AOA button for the F-14 or the Tornado
IF it supposedly caused the plane to be uncontrollable it would not have been in the plane IRL F14 is just poorly modeled compared to other jets
Say that to the J-10 and Eurofighter
couldnt they have it as emergency mode?
They probably did, but Gaijin has just lumped all of it into a “Turn off AOA limits button” which is inaccurate to half the planes that received them.
they didnt have manual overrides
NO
source ?
how about prove that they had an override that the pilot could use in flight
function number 7
fair play.
