The Hkp3C is my favorite helicopter. The missiles are actually pretty alright, yes they are slow. but if you actually play smart with your helicopter and stay behind ridges and move sometimes. You can rack up 4-6 kills (since you probably aren’t surviving long enough to re-arm. Since a plane is probably going to revenge kill you.)

Im sick of the fact that Helicopters cant be locked by IR missiles unless you’re hella close, or by PD radars.

Both of those features are accurate lmfao, PD doesn’t work against a near stationary target since it’s essentially permanently notching the radar and the only helis hot enough to give off a hefty heat signature have thermal sleeves and other ways of dispersion to avoid IR locks, combined with IRCM or MAWs and it’s hard to be killed by IR missiles… For a reason lol

Well in case of the Fim 92K it uses the datalink for targeting so vehicles that are able to lock planes helis etc. it shouldnot be a problem

People make fun of the He-162 too much, it is a decent plane. If 6.0-6.7 was more balanced(both in plane Br, and balance between teams), it would be a very good plane.

Shock and horror here but it’s common knowledge, and with that I’d say it’s common sense within the boundaries of PD radars and current IR seekerheads modelled in game, I have also tested this plenty of times by absolutely cucking Fox-2 launches with HIRSS and IRCM

Bro thinks the rotor blades are just… nothing.
The way radar is modelled in game does not present a spinning rotorblade as having it’s own RCS meaning the only thing giving off a radar return to a PD radar set will be the helicopter itself, again you will only be able to detect it if it picks up speed in a horizontal line towards or away from the emitting aircraft, the reason you cannot lock onto a stationary, hovering or hoverclimbing heli is because of the lack of a moving target to enact the doppler effect, essentially giving it mock stealth
