This is the DF105, placed at a Br of 8.0 it is a very fun tank. Meet its “better” brother - the CLOVIS, it is very similar to the DF105 except that it has a Laser Rangefinder and an extra 20mm coax. It basically has what the DF105 needed. Sooooo either the DF105 gets moved to 7.7 orrrrr the CLOVIS gets a nerf. Now, it would be very sad if the CLOVIS got moved to a higher Br, because 8.0 is literally the most perfect Br for this tank. BUT the DF105 being at the same Br even though its worse is very unfortunately sadly badly, and it doesn’t hurt to have a kinda OP tank for once.

or better yet, give the clovis its missing laser range finder and dart, and move it to 8.7.

The DF105 is an exceptionally good vehicle.
Just increase the Clovis’s BR.

If its not historical then Gaijin wont add it
Don’t forget the stabilizer
Already forgotten since it neither of them has one
i think that should be a secondary vehicle, mostly because 8.7 is lacking both for france and germany, so the clovis while still being a premium can serve a purpose.
also they could make the stab version a tech tree vehicle.

Compression issue.
DF105 shouldn’t be moved down to 7.7.

No ahistorical changes meaning no nerfs, but the contrary, advocate for more historical changes. DF-105 should not be placed at lower battle rating, it’s good enough and some times the absence of stabilizer in both vehicles is unnoticed—has good gun handling and traversing stabilization, excellent mobility and firepower.
Sometimes they also won’t add it even if it is historical

Of course that’s because the intention is to keep the CLOVIS at the same BR as DF105 permanently, and APFSDS, as fun as it may be, would foil that plan and force the CLOVIS up a bracket or two.
Regarding the DF105, it is simply one of the many victims of compression; overpowered against the WW2 vehicles below it as a result of having autoloading 105mm HEAT and high mobility, and underpowered against the mid-late Cold War vehicles above it because it lacks APFSDS, thermals, stabilizer, or even an LRF.

Topic about what? There is already a bug report for the CLOVIS APFSDS and this thread discuses the DF105’s BR. Neither of these are new ideas.
