Please Give Us Back the Original Panther II, Flakpanzer 341 "Coelian," and Tiger II 10.5cm KwK

I think making the argument that these changes would being included onto the Tiger II 10.5cm had it been accepted is a valid argument, however, there are issues with the Tiger II 10.5cm. Gaijin stuck a 2nd loader into the turret without a second thought. It was noted that it would have been extremely difficult to fit another loader into an unmodified Tiger II turret, and that the turret would probably need to be redesigned. You could reduce it down to 1 loader to make it more feasible, then you run into the issue of that 1 loader was considered insufficient for the Tiger II 10.5cm.

Not only this, the 10.5cm would need new aiming devices, which don’t seem to have ever been designed before it was cancelled, which is also why the turret needed to be redesigned. Some parts of the Tiger II 10.5cm have to be theoretical for it to exist in a functional form.

I think making a Tiger II with the various planned 1945 upgrades a separate vehicle, you remove the trap of historical issues with the Tiger II 10.5cm, as at least all the upgrades I mentioned were feasible and or tested.

However, if Gaijin did add the Tiger II 10.5cm back, they should make a few edits to it to be as feasible as possible without having to make things up. Remove the 2nd loader; Even if only 1 loader was considered inadequate, it would be more realistic than 2 loaders in an unmodified Tiger II turret. Fix the gun model being completely incorrect, and fix the ammunition stowage layout for the turret.

I agree if you make this as tank suggestion this would be better than the fake 105 tiger
it’s more historical i support also tiger II will have faster engine and range find and faster reload !

Frankly after the “ideal TOG II” and the Flapjack with “proposed” bomb load, keeping the 3 removed German vehicles away (or the R2Y2s) is simply untenable.

Kudos on everything else, fantastic work.

How would the stabilised gun sight be implemented in game though?

I considered the second loader incorrect for the longest time, since only one loader can access the breech.

However the ammo layout of the 105 Tiger II in WT makes no sense.

Currently all shells are stored in turret while propellant charges are stored in the hull, but retrieving these charges is very difficult, hence the turret bustle rack on the Tiger II.

Just like on the regular Tiger II, the charges should be stored in the turret in place of the 88mm rounds.

105mm shells should be stored around the turret ring, with 4-6 being easily accessible by the primary loader. The rest should be stored in the hull.

The second loader retrieves the shells from the hull and places them in the turret, so that the primary loader doesn’t run out of shells to load.

That way the 105 Tiger II can fire 22 shots without much interruption, like the 88mm version.

I changed the layout to be like this:

Which only reduces the total amount of shells by 2.

Out of curiosity, do you know if the Em. 1.6m (or equivalent) was ever tested on a Jagdtiger?

R2Y2 V1 could/should up come back, that was the actual very real design chosen. V2 and V3 should either stay in purgatory or be outright removed as they are entirely fictional.

For the TOG II and XF5U things are a little different since both vehicles drove and flew respectively, although not in their current configurations.

that’s the issue with 105mm tiger II is so fake made by gajin
that’s why most of the stuff are wrong

I can accept that there are vehicles that I missed out on my own accord, such as events I chose not to grind during, limited time sales I chose not to buy, or ones like the R2Y2 variants, seeing as I was made well aware they were going to be limited time. They subtly told us the R2Y2’s were going to go years ago now, and confirmed it a year in advance practically before doing it. I can even understand vehicles that are from very old events such as the Surblinde, Object 279, or IS-7. They’re made available once a year usually, through holiday Silver Lion crates. And for the E-100, it was always exclusive and elusive, tied to tournaments.

So why am I so adamant about the Tiger II 10.5cm, Panther II, and Flakpanzer 341? Because it feels like it was both completely outside of my control, while also being a set of vehicles readily available in nearly every match I play. Don’t want to fight these vehicles? Play Germany. But then guess what? You see them on your team constantly, and feel the worst kind of FOMO guilt about it. I started playing the game like half a year after their removal. Its practically trivial that they can’t even put them into Silver Lion crates for holidays, or make them available on the anniversary like the Maus, a vehicle that was removed at the same time and also has issues with its historical accuracy, just like the other 3 vehicles.

It really grinds my gears. Like, can we talk about the Ho-Ri? There are two variants of the frickin’ thing in the game! Its completely ahistorical, don’t think there were even extensive wooden mockups of it, only blueprints. That thing is an absolute nuisance to face. But guess what, I don’t get that mad about it because if I really wanted to, I could just start playing Japan and research it or buy the prototype version. The same can’t be said for any of the lost German vehicles.

And probably the biggest middle-finger to the playerbase about these vehicles removal is that, on top of all this, you can’t even test them in the hangar with the protection analysis. SERIOUSLY? The only way to test these vehicles’ armor is to wishlist them in game when you spot them, then view them from your wishlist. You can’t even use shot analysis with their ammunition to see where they can penetrate the armor of other vehicles. And in the case of the Tiger II 10.5cm and Coelian, they have EXCLUSIVE ammunition that no other tank does!

Gaijin could’ve easily made money this anniversary by adding them back, making it so that you could only research one at a time, and any left with research points that isn’t being actively researched will disappear when the anniversary ends, and you’d have to wait until they come back again (if ever). The FOMO would drive masses of Germany players to buy accelerated research to get all 3 before the anniversary ends. Instead, the only hope of them coming back is in a purchasable pack, which would make them profit directly at least. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a game company try so hard to avoid making easy money before.

I literally know people who played at that time and didn’t bother researching one or two of these 3 removed vehicles before the announcement was made that they’d be leaving the game. The whole community, even people who don’t play Germany, should want them back. Because if they get added back, then Gaijin would be infinitely more inclined to rework some of the less historical or unbalanced aspects of these vehicles, since there’d be many more people with access to them. Things like the Tiger II 10.5cm’s ammo storage and reload speed, or the Panther II’s turret size, all of these things people have rightfully pointed out are just small aspects that keep these vehicles from being more than suitable for the game’s climate. And the best part of all, they’re already in the game. It would take very minimal effort to re-add them. Like look, the Henschel Tiger just got a new model! That could surely be used on the 10.5cm as well.

I like this Tiger 105 better than the one in-game. Matches the blueprint better.

Tiger II with rangefinder should be a separate vehicle, likely a premium/BP/reward.

How does the second loader fit in there though? It’s already a very cramped space.

Well, there’s already a commander and gunner on the left side of the breech. So two loaders wouldn’t be much different.

The loader at the front reloads the coaxial MG and retrieves shells from the hull storage while the loader in the back loads the shells next to him and the charges in the turret bustle.

The loader space is in general more spacious.

as nothing. Geman anti-air has nothing to wish more, they have flakpanzers with 30mm cannons.

exactly why gaijin decided to remove it. It was not build with metal.

it does not, Panther with NVD exists.

“once again”

That clearly states that the point of this mess is only go get old uniques to oneself. Not to get all new players an opportunity to recieve such a machine further in time.

they got removed because they are unrealistic, not because the event they were from ended. Thus they arent to be implemented further. I dont know why they kept them ingame tho, as they could have easilly remove them entirely. Tho that makes me feel better as i did buy them like two days before they announced deletion.

no it didnt? They removed it because “hard to balance(((((” and then decided to earn moni. It had no problems with realism as i remember

no they wont. They especially do make them event or extinct to not work on them.

By removing space for the loader to maneuver? I don’t know, still seems fairly unreasonable. The second loader is going to have to try and crouch down with the original loader taking up half the space. Well, more than half because you have to remember it’s a larger breech as well.

The gunner and commander don’t have to move around. They’re stationary in their seats. A loader needs to move around.

That being said, i dont see any problem in letting those machinery get in hands of newbies. But as any other event or rare vehicle, it should not be “come buy it” as those who own it spent time to get it.
This game is practically a gacha about collecting different tanks. So limiting those makes it unfun for many people.

thy i also agree that making it obtainable is sort of unfair for owners of these machines, and it would be great if owners could recieve some kind of compensation for thus - as for example new battle pass crate gets you a pinch of silver and a golden task.
But if that`s the dealbraker, i would certainly agree not to recieve anything to make those vehicles avaliabe for newbies. Not just once, but at least regularly in some events

Gajin could make an event by april fools , Fake tanks event" and let us play some fake tanks, and those removed german tanks. Therefore, evreyone have a chance to play those tanks

The Panther II hull was built, Gaijins version doesn’t exist. It never had the better engine, never had the NVD, never was intended to have the 88mm or that turret.

The only time the loader moves is when he needs to reload the coaxial MG. Otherwise he stays in one spots and turns his body to grab ammunition from racks.

The loader in the Churchill doesn’t even have space to turn at all. He just faces the gun all the time and stands sideways.

If you can put a 100mm in a T-34 you can also put 105mm inside a Tiger II.

A lot of things are possible. Whether it’s a good idea is another question.

He can also support manual turret traverse, he does also have a coax hand wheel.

Based, there is so much more fun stuff and the Flakpanzer (already plural btw) with 30mm guns are just 2. The “Zerstörer 45” (not) which is even missing its gunshield and the overtiered and nerfed Kugelblitz.
I yearn for 5 cm Flak 41 L/67 on DB L4500 A Gepanzert And 3 cm Flak 103/38 on Steyr 2000A.
And so much more.
Also germany getting vehicles doest stop other nations getting vehicles.
