I mean, the Germans did put together a complete Maus before the Soviets captured it.

The Soviet Maus is a Frankenstein’s Monster of the V1 hull and V2 turret. I’m not sure if they gutted all the internals after it got back to the USSR or if it was found that way after the German attempted sabotage.

The Panther II as intended fits the partial prototype suggestion category for the game. The hull was built, it ran.

Panther with the Panzer IV turret is documented to not have any ability to traverse. I can’t recall if the gun is operational or not.

I can’t comment on the SA vehicle, I know nothing about it.

we arent sure either…

its the same “partial” as captured panther 2. The TH800 Bismark we have ingame now - was one prototype. Then germans either made another hull without turret, or took the turret back, im not really sure. But then the SA museum just put the Olifant turret over, as the US did with Panther G turret. .

Germany already had a Maus with a turret assembled. The hull was sabotaged with explosives. The only thing that russia did was take the second Maus hull and mate it to the leftover turret from the sabotaged tank.

This was done by germany and was nonfunctional. The inside of the turret was stripped out.

MB yeah it does been a hot minute since i played it

was it? I have many different stories about that tank,

ah but that one special maus with combined turret and hull from different models is still a thing. Thats a historically accurate machine!

While browsing the bundesarchiv invenio, I came across RH 8/3953K which contains: “Pzkpfw. Tiger II, Ausf. B, Umrüstung, Vergleich der 8,8 cm K L/71 und der 10,5 cm K L/68, Munitionsunterbringung, Nov. 1944”

It would definitely shine light on the ammunition stowage layout for the Tiger II L/68. I’m going to make a digitisation request for this document, which would take them around 6~ months for them to complete, based on previous documents I’ve requested from them to be digitised.

After that, I will create a historical report for the ammunition layout since it is certainly incorrect in game.

That’s cool 🙂

I’ve also drafted a petition regarding this. Just search on Facebook for “Tiger II 10,5; Panther II und Coelian als Premium zurück in Warthunder.” Am I allowed to post a link to a petition here?

Idk if I’ve said this before but I’d make an event where these would be available to research for accounts that existed before these tanks got removed.
I missed these by a day or two and I’m malding real bad because of it.

This way is one option. Or put all three tanks (Coelian, Tiger 10,5cm and Panther II) in a bundle for the shop… All guys who say, “thats exclusive”,: They had the advantage, to get it far before other players. It is a early access.

Nah. I really disagree with them being premium.
Those who know what legacy WT was like should be the only ones to have em

And why should some players beeing prefered and other players not ?? It is just unfair for new players. Some ways are possible: Putting all 3 into the shop so everyone can buy it. As bundle or single… That´s a detailquestion…

Or create an Event like the Maus-Event every year… These are the only two options you had. That would be fair for the most of the players. The “old” owner of this 3 tanks have got a bundle Premium tanks for “free” and other players must pay for it. Thats the advantage of the “old” players. But no one is disadvantaged to start laterly with the game, when you can still buy this tanks by now.

Rules for thee and not for me. No thanks. You had the chance to get them and you missed out. Saying that only you should have a second chance, while every new player should miss out on getting a first chance, is the peak of entitlement.

Funny thing is I had the TII 105 unlocked for almost 7 years without playing it lol, and if it wasnt for the surge of people asking for them id probably never play it. Wanted to see what the fuss is about.

Just play it, it’s hella great.

Oh i did, spaded it around the time when coelian was buffed. Quite enjoyable experience i must say, but, like, KTII(H) does 90% of what KTII105 does.

In competitive terms, very little changes, I do agree. On some maps (say European Province) the extra mobility and the rangefinder can make a big difference. Other than that the better round for slower reload is a side grade.

But, if you have access to all 3, you have a powerful 7.0 lineup backed by air options not available at 6.7, and that the 6.7 ground vehicles can still support very capably.

It’s also just a different experience, and that variety is one of WT’s strengths. Sometimes you just wanna play something because it’s cool, competition or not.
