The map changes in recent times are, at best, contentious. Throughout this there has been zero discussion with the players. Without any consultation at all, we can only guess what the intent is.
The shrinking and simplification of the maps is alienating to many players. Maps have had their strategic options reduced. The intent behind these changes is lost on us. Honest intents are shared.
Apart from the impact on gameplay, the changed maps are looking dated. The mass removal of trees and other small details like rocks (e.g. Karelia) exposes the game engine for its age. So we have a military-themed game that is systematically reducing its strategic elements and lowering its graphical appeal…
How about preserving just one map in its original state? At least we could show people what the game used to look like. The refusal to increase the number of map bans despite the increasing number of maps can at least be resolved via ALT-F4.

the silent ones who are not active in any forum or have no opinion to the changes?
the ignorant ones who never participate in any ingame poll ?
the loud crying ones who want smaller or bigger maps ?
or the really loud ones who challenge GJ with review bombing for their desires?
the problem is on one side GJ who are not cearly commincating or correctly filtering the wishes from the above people and on the other side the small amount of players who want to adapt the game to themself instead of learning who to work with the given things
How about when they enact a map change, they state the reasons why they removed/blocked a feature.
Some are understandable, and example would be to prevent spawn to spawn shooting, others make no sense:
Carpathians: rocks near the capture point at D3/4 have been blocked.
CAN YOU stop destroying map design with restriction zone or Stupid modification ?
It’s okay to change zone in specific map, but please, put in consideration about those map having MULTIPLE MAP in the same one :
Sinai / Sand of Sinai (giving back the 7-8-9 zone, it was fine for both sides)
Normandy - FIELD of Normady ( Fixing the Charlie point in Normandy map was ok, but fucked up the Alpha point in Feild of Normandy. Hill help well and now it’s flat and unbalanced)
Tunisia (Big map change unbalancing alpha point in the small map)
Alaska (in conquest) (losing 70% of the map by restriction zone when the cap is on Charlie point)
North Holland ( Map restriction zone should be change by protection or building should be better, stop set one ‘line push in the middle’ )
38th Parallel (in conquest is terrible with restriction zone)
Ardennes Domination #2 (winter) where one team spawns (F2) in full view of the other team on a sloping hill.
Golden Quarry with the spawn (F1 location) on the one side that starts in a hole
Eastern Europe (Battle) Spawn in D7. No option to ford the river unless you have a vehicle that can swim , so you need to either try and cross the bridge, climb up over a hill in full view or move to the left up the hill by the windmill. Why isn’t their a fordable point to cross?
