As the title suggests, this tank is ridiculously OP! It one-shots the most heavily armoured tanks like KV2, Churchill, etc, with hits almost anywhere and has a crazy fast reload thanks to its autoloader. Yes, its thinly armoured but these things can kill 5 tanks in a heartbeat and also has excellent gun depression. The SAV can fire a shot, miss and fire another before you can even turn the turret to bear. It’s bad enough for a heavy tank user dealing with HE slingers like M44s and M55s without the SAV 20 having pretty much the same knockout punch combined with a lightning reload. For god’s sake do something about this damn thing Gaijin!
What br would you suggest then? I see it as basically a light tank without a turret in exchange for reload.
It’s not just the reload. The gun is powerful enough to take out a Churchill or KV in a single shot quite easily. Combine those two factors, and despite their fragility, they are way OP at their current BR. The problem is, moving them up only a little still sees them with the same advantage over the same tanks. It’s a similar situation as existed when the XM800 first appeared. Just at a lower BR.
Hasn’t the SAV been around since the Swedish tt was added? It’s honestly kinda broken, but it will be either way too op or obsolete. It’s one of those vehicles where it shouldn’t have been added
kv2 is not heavily armored, churchil u cant 1 hit from the front that easiely, kv1 is an absolute struggle
I’ve been one-shotted by the SAV in a Churchill NA75 and a KV1 several times with a direct hit from the front killing the Churchill NA75 only earlier today.
