Please bring number decals back

I feel like fighting against politics is just plain stupid in war games. Politics are influencing every part of our life like it or not. There will always be a bit of it in everything. And war is mainly about politics. Since WT is a war game with modern vehicles used in current wars (which they swore they would never add), things like this should be expected. By banning nice little features like number decals, Gaijin is stripping the game of it’s added value (and sadly only little of it is left now with the removals of historical campaigns, world war mode, aim predominantly at top tier copy paste premium vehicles), it only restricts people (like me) who geniunely want to use the decals for normal purposes. People who want to start political beefs with other players will find other ways how to do it (simply write it to chat). So Gaijin should not aim to fight against political references but rather at their actions that are generally harmful (teamkilling, hate speech etc.) even if they are not necessarily political.

Please, if you quote me (or anybody else), do actually quote correctly, and don’t mix up answers and responses.

This is pretty much the biggest reason. The playerbase is already insufferable with the amount of random stuff they complain about following their personal biased and belief. Gaijin literally can’t be bothered to sort out all the problem that a few decal would cause, simply because their own playerbase can’t seem keep their political belief out of this game. Even if Gaijin themself have never taken a stand on literally any real world matter

They try to avoid that war, yet the April Fool’s infantry trailer looks VERY similar to that war, there’s no consistency like always.

I’ve proposed the idea of giving us post-2022 player all number decals excluding the number 1, so people can’t make the Z symbol, but the feedback back then was just my post getting locked.

What is allowed and what not is clearly defined in the game rules that all players need to agree to before playing the game. It’s not ‘random stuff’ and ‘personal bias and belief’.

As I said, we do actually deal with those case of offenses with decals.

I know that but my point is even if they signed the agreement upon creating their account , they still gonna inject their own belief into the game.

I know but to gaijin themself , it is easier to actually disable them completely rather than dealing with it. Since we don’t know the real reason why it is disable to this day (literally after the day I started playing). That could very much be one of the biggest reason. Since other than that , there are not many actual reasons to be taken into consideration

Number editor should already be a thing.

It is cruel that polish people can not put number 2137 on both sides of vehicle

Good job komrad

Why what is that nummer?

I was especially unlucky, as i marked every kill on the planes using number decals - and they removed all without warning. How “funny”!

Yeah it’s quite a substantial chunk of the playerbase getting screwed by a bunch of undesirable people. Really annoying.

Honestly the current systems we’ve got to try and avoid that don’t really work. I’ve seen swastikas and other offensive symbology. If the customization system allows so much freedom (which War Thunder special too), there’s no real way to moderate those blokes.

The “2137” is one of the oldest and top polish meme.

Basically, say “2137” or “JP2GMD” to any pole in the internet and they will laugh it out.

It’s part of polish meme culture about polish pope

Oh. It’s not nice to make fun of a pope that died a few days ago. And as a Catholic I do not understand the pleasure of insulting the Pope. I thought 2137 was like a number for one of their armored divisions or something.

That’s the thing - 90% of all poles are catholic, and majority of them are very strict catholic (myself included). Yet, these memes are flowing non stop for 20 years.

To fully understand how polish people are super strict catholics and yet they meme their own pope you would really have to dive deep into the lore

Pope meme lore drop?

You’re a fellow Catholic? Nice to meet ya comrade.

So you’re actually defending putting fascist symbol number on planes. Implying reporting hate is bad, even. Not surprised given your terrible opinions on game mechanics in general (matchmaker change lmao).

If you think about it, who is actually immature? The edgy teenagers putting shitty and unhistorical decals on their vehicles, or the players reporting them? You trying to insult the latter is massive cope.

I myself disagree with the current situation; numbers should be given to all players (Personally I have no conflict of interest, as I already have them). What is necessary, however, is an efficient and effective system of moderation that allows players to report specific decal placements of hateful players. Particularly, decals which are both hateful and unrealistic should be punished, as they show exclusively hateful intentions. Why is that bad, in your eyes?

Opposing adding number decals because of players reporting hateful arrangements of them, is like opposing the existence of supermarkets because people call the police when they are stolen from (not because of the thieves stealing from them). Or opposing cars because people complain on social media about drunk drivers (not even opposing them because of drunk driving in the first place). It’s absolute stupidity, and the mental gymnastics required to have such a shallow opinion are ridiculous.

Just today i saw 2 tanks with Z on them, and 1488 on swedish tank.

I dont care at all, but given the freedom this will happen every match. The result will be 1000’s of cry babies spammimg reports. Gaijin doesnt want to deal with it.

Personally I wish the internet was like it was 15 years ago instead of a giant hugbox it is now. Reason why no one talks anymore, or we cant have voice chat.

and

As I said.
