They are going to make it permanent in the future (maybe not with the nukes). But they said they have plans for a EC mode and most of the events (like the SEAD events in the past) have been kinda leading up to this.
My only change I want is a LOT less mid field AA (always been a problem in warthunder though) and have the front line area expanded a lot more because right now the dogfights are a little too packed and its way too easy to get 3rd partied.
I like when it when all the airfields are destroyed and you get a very large area to fight in, and there then you can have good 1v1 fights, but I know a lot of people who have been brainrotted dont have the patience for that type of battle
They said that they will make it a permanent mode when a bunch of other nation will have enough vehicles (And ofc usable in this mode too)
The one people talked about was UK for example since they have the VULCAN bomber, which btw it was modelled in one of Gaijin trailers so people were saying its very much possible that they will implement it some day
Now my question now is another…will every long range bomber be an event vehicle?Cause i feel like it can be made a tech tree line too in some sort instead of pay to play a very specific category of planes
Someone lately getting joined into almost finished battles??
Quequing as US finds a match faster but all the matches are almost finished, my team low tickets, and low to none airfields left. I left and joined 5 times (and counting) happening the same.
As of the changes from today, nah, don’t bother adding it. Another chore, korean mmo game mode.
Of course the devs wouldn’t tolerate people having fun in a realistic rule set but with fast spawns, getting into action fast game mode. You know, things that in a grindy game actually makes you get some rep and SL, and, imagine that, letting the average joe finish the event in a timely manner. Nop, gotta make it another hellish grind.
All they needed was some voices that think everyone is a teenager with 20h of freetime everyday, to implement some changes and have quotable justification here on the forums; “oh, but this player said it was too fast paced and he wanted a boring 2nd job for an event”.
Hard no for me.
Guess this thread can be closed now that Gaijin inevitably ruined the mode lol. What a messed up thing for them to do. All the fun has been sucked out of it
Yep, had this with every lobby yesterday and every lobby today, which is making an already tedious grind even worse because all the forward AFs are usually dead
Yeah no… At first it was fun, “Oh, you can nuke everywhere, I can respawn, oh dude, I can use a mega bomber!” Now they’ve ruined what little fun it had left… I’ve been trying to find a match for two hours. They updated the mode when nobody asked for it and completely ruined it. Total imbalance between teams, they moved the spawns further apart for no reason, they changed the air kill points when nobody asked for that… I think we all agree that this mode should just remain an April Fool’s joke and nothing more. I don’t think this can even be considered fun anymore. I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that we don’t want this mode to stay in the game.
At least do one thing right, and bring back the cannon-only mode permanently. That was actually fun and entertaining to play. They literally put it in for a week and then removed it for no reason.
First few days were really fun then they made changes to make the game mode frustrating and now its mediocre.
honestly one of the maybe 2 best things to happen to this game in its entire lifespan and they couldn’t be help switch it over to “suffering causes player spending” so I bought Nuclear Option and I’ll be playing that instead.
Hey everyone who’s already replied or voted on the first poll, just a quick follow-up because of all the backlash over Gaijin’s recent changes in 2.55.1.42.
A lot of players (myself included) aren’t happy with several of the tweaks, so I’ve thrown up a second poll attached to the original post. If you want to see any of those unpopular changes rolled back, please take a second to vote. It only takes a moment and helps show the community’s actual feelings on this.
Good for you that you liked the changes, I guess, but your argument only goes so far:
Want to remove Osas & ground units in general? Ground modes already exist for that, and you can also ground pound in air already, you can even go for the main airfield if you want to face strong SPAA. Nothing that already didn’t exist before. Redundancy.
What does not exist anymore as of yesterday? A fast respawn + fast action with realistic rule set for air combat. People complaining about furballs were COMPLETELY FREE to not join the furballs, did anyone threaten them that they had to do it? Nop, no one did. They could spawn at the furthest airfield, fly all the way to the border of the map, then fly back to the middle of the map if they so wished to waste their lives alt+tabbing instead of playing. They could take bombs and not join furballs at all, they could spend whole matches killing AI – and I’d support more points for that, if that’s their thing… but the catch is, nop, they gotta whine and make the event a boring hassle for the 90% that did like realistic rules but don’t like wasting 10 mins flying to the middle of the map.
Welp, what I saw yesterday while grinding the 5th (and last, for me) stars were longer queues, less people on the queues, all my matches were already half-way done from the lack of said people, targets were harder to find and all grinding problems that come associated with that, and I guess if I tried playing NT today all of that would be even worse. I wonder how many people just gave up on the event because of those changes, shame those stats will never come to light, but I’m guessing: a lot.
I’m taking issue with the damage they’ve done to the enjoyment of the mode, and you’re gullible to believe Gaijin’s lie here.
They did not “buff” CAS or SEAD rewards. They may give you 30 or so points extra over the original 90, but the spawns are significantly further back. In other words, it now takes longer to get to the battlefield, which means less score, and dying to an OSA is that much more frustrating.
Yes, players did only play Air to Air, but are you really that dumb to not realize it’s because attacking ground units gives you damn near nothing? Do you really think the solution to this problem is “nerf the one viable strat”.
