I agree the mode needs a lot of tweaking and balancing. Plus it still needs to be opened to all nations and a much larger BR range. However, I still think it’s just the start of something way better than our current air RB we’ve been stuck with for over a decade

OSA needs a massive nerf it’s ridiculously broken
S-300 is a monster while the NATO equivalent is balls
You have crapped on the F-4Es Radar so hard it cannot lock or see anything, making the 23MLD just massively superior in every way. Cannot lock a MiG 23 in perfect skies at high altitude…Sure
Changes that need to happen - Nerf SAMS ability to intercept ordinance,
Stop SAMs from driving at 40mph while locking you through trees. If they want to shoot they stop like in the real world.
Make HARMS I don’t know. Good? Currently they are pointless.
Reduce points for shooting down aircraft - Quickest way to a B-52 just get air kills and ignore the ground based stuff.
Buff NATO SAMS and Radar Roland should be IRL a better SHORAD system than OSA but not in game.
It’s frustratingly balanced right now.

Yeah, with some changes it could be really great as a permanent mode
So true. Sometimes i don’t think people at gaijin have ever even played their game.
Same with the Queue times for the event. It literally takes 10 - 30 minutes to get into a game on the US side right now. Every single person who has played an event could have predicted this being a huge problem but apparently nobody at Gaijin thinks about these things very much

Last game OSA shot down my Aim9…
Can’t even get Skysabre at top tier to do that.
It needs to not have perfect SA with it’s Radar down, we have HARMS and one OSA intercepted 4 of them of course on the flip side the Roland has 2 shots the OSA and Strella have far more.

Yeah but don’t some nations literally have nothing for both?
ARM’s in the event are less than useless. 100% of all AGM’s get intercepted

Better to use the cannon on the F-4E to take out SAMs or a nuke which for some reason they don’t shoot down…

Because air RB mains keep acting like they are the ones who matter. They join ground forces just to not take part, then cry when ground players want a ground only mode. But when a mode is for tailored for them it’s the only thing that matters. Go play air Rb instead with the other top tier aircraft. This event could have been fixed for any normal weekend. Instead they bring a test mode out that only people with top tier aircraft can play. Not that hard to understand.

Also it might be good to add a list of vehicles for every nation for this post if you’re gonna say all nations, helps people who just wanna see what’s to come.
It’s just sad to see such a cool game mode be poorly handled. F-4E is no match for the MiG 23MLD and Russian guys can even take the MiG 25…While US players can have the modernised F-4S.
No F-111 in the US lineup to match the Su-24 is also a crime

I am lower game since they removed the F-14…
But yeah some very stupid inclusions for balance. Watched an F-4S just get 30 kills last game because it has a PD Radar and great missiles.
Meanwhile in the same game F-4E can even use their Radar guided missiles.
Isn’t the current event drop in drop out friendly enough? playing the US side i get to JIP a lot and it has barely affected me or my enjoyment. like joining midway through a battlefield or cod match, because of the mechanics we got here compared to the other gamemodes it doesn’t mean that the match is over just because it happens to be in the enemy’s advantage when you join
