As seen with the german Maus tank and many other non super heavy tanks prototypes are currently in game plus many more on the way (most likely) however the one prototype i never hear talked about in anything gaijin related is the Japanese super heavy O-I which if added could be the same br as the Maus at 7.7 as it features a single 105mm main cannon with two (or 3 depending on what image you search) 70mm cannons with a armor profile of just 200mm this tank wouldnt be over powered in the slightest but it would be a great addition to the lacking Japanese ww2 tree many ww2 Japanese heavy tanks arent even in the game i would love to see gaijin add this one tank even at premium prices i would happily buy it world of tanks has it and when i use it in that game it definitely is alot of fun its the only reason i go back to that game from time to time
A; was a metal prototype fully built?
B; this should go to the suggestions.
C; Add a poll so people can vote.
Maus will actually built, and if i am not mistaken O-I super was never built and was a paper tank. If it was not built, it should not be added (Even If one O-I would have been built, I would have agreed upon it’s addition)
Wikipedia says it had one unfinished prototype, also can’t prove this image is real but:
Please note, I was wrong, the attached image is of a Ro-Go.
Looks nothing like the diagram

But still they could add that unfinished prototype
True (I just pulled up the first realistic image I saw on the internet).
Mb, that image was a Ro-Go
Isn’t that a Rogo
Yeah, it is, sorry about that, like I said, I just pulled that off the internet.
Fixed
The O-I was built they just couldnt put the 105mm turret on before the island was seiged they had the resources available to build one fully operational O-I just not enough time during the war i shouldve used the object-279 as thw example as one turretless one was built but they couldnt mount the turret due to some restrictions at the time i cant think of them now but there is more than a few paper tanks and planes theyve added to the game with this one being way less overpowered on paper i still think its a great addition
If it was built to that extent, then I would be fine with it in game.
I mean we have testing reports for it, It did exist, we even have a track link of it that survives.
Fine, I want to see one in the game!

A track link that was used on the built 100 Ton prototype
I just wish i knew how to post this to poll it or something i have no idea if devs actually read this so i fear this will just be a lost discussion in time just as the O-I was lost and forgotten
The Devs have already looked into the OI i think.
The biggest problem is that we don’t know what gun it had.
The 150 was never made, and the 105 that was suggested ended up on the Ho Ri prototype.
So its possible the gun was used on the Oi first, before it was scrapped during the war.
I have good news for you a suggestion for it was passed to the devs: Japan's phantom multi-turret heavy tank Oi vehicle
Now we just need to hope it added to the tech-tree where it is needed over outside in an event or something.
HONESTLY, i would not be surprised if the OI shows up as the Dreams come True vehicle this year.
Because in recent years there have been ALOT of Blueprints about it found.
Far more than a vehicle that was never built.
Full suspension design drawings, Engine lay out. ALL OF IT.
I really appreciate you guys providing supporting documentation i just think as a nation japans been done dirty as far as ground is concerned most of their tech tree should be filled with the prototype and experimental tanks since they would be easy to balance since most would be up to the devs discretion the island nation if provided the same resources the other nations had access to wouldve pumped out some really cool tanks for us to enjoy in game hopefully they see this and we can start seeing new ww2 heavy and medium lines for japan
