No problem, I agree with you 100%, maybe you’re thinking of someone else.
There seems to be a rapidly growing division between the categories of players. Some want an ultra-simplified experience with no challenges & some want variety & the ability to use the tanks as they were designed to be used.
The division is growing quickly too, Gaijin need to show the loyal longtime players the loyalty we showed them that got them to this point and not ignore us for a quick cash grab.

They seem to ignore the players most of the time and then we have what they do to those of us not on pc. They ignore us, don’t let us participate in sales and many other things. At this point I am even sure they encourage elitism in this game(example being the whole “pc master race” stupidity that should be a reason to report people at this point because I am tired of being called a “console peasant” and being mistreated for being on a different device when I am still a player like everyone else).
I play on a pc but through my xbox account. I dont get called that but then l have chat turned off. I just keep the team chat turned on. Alot of xbox people wont play this because of they feel that they cant compete against the pc players which is silly because they die just the same.

I feel like it’s important to explain that it takes time to learn how to play, watching youtube and spending time experimenting with strategies that work for you on all the maps and finding the weird little spots you can make work, higher BR is faster because of the tools you have so take it slow, take notes of what works and what doesn’t, look at the players who do something different and try that a few times and see if you can make that work too. War Thunder doesn’t reward the hyper aggressive players, take it slow and don’t push up unless you feel safe.
aimbots and cheaters is way less of a thing than the forums wants you to think, chances are it’s a console player using their snap lock on and yes it’s stupid that they have access to it in RB but that’s just life, currently the biggest issue is probably bot SPAA doing silly things but since everyone seems to hate CAS I guess that’s just a bonus for people right now. Like seriously is your ego really this big that obviously the enemy player cheated to kill you because you’re just so good and he must be so bad he couldn’t possibly have made a good play.
the BR compression is still an issue, we all agree on this. but annoyingly the game is mostly based on capability rather than time frame, and that means sometimes silly tanks from the 50s are in the 40s matchmaking and vice versa.
Your problem is that you keep wanting to drive tanks. Those are targets in this game. You just drive your first tank and try to do well enough to fly afterward. Then, you can get some success by flying.

If you look at it in a vastly oversimplified say, yes.
Some people don’t want to be WT players. Nothing WT can do to change that.
I was once forced to J out in my plane because there were no tanks in our team, I mean can you cap in a plane? getting into a plane is rather risky due to the amount of spawn points required because if you don’t do shit and die then you are out of the game unless you have 4-5 ground kills in your first spawn before getting into one.
I’ve been through events where pretty much THE way to get the event tanks was to get into your plane, fly for the mission, then J out and get into a tank at the end. Absolutely stupid!
Planes still get the better rewards. I’m far better at tanking than I am at flying, yet even I do better in the air, if you’re going to look at SL and RP rewards.
WT could add a mode for the tankers, just like the one they currently have for GFRB, minus air spawns, and a LOT more players could suddenly enjoy WT. (Without removing the GFRB mode, or changing it in any way!)
I have had an extended break grinding jets until today.
Every single game the first time I take out the tank, every shell hits, I do really well. second/third match typical warthunder match.
call it confirmation bias all you want. I’m not sinking any more money into this game. The amount of times I’ve taken a tank I haven’t taken out in a while into a match and it’s destroyed the first match, second, third, completely average is beyond normal. Try it yourself if you can pull yourself away for a few days.
Give yourself a break from your lineups. (mine’s been about 2-3 weeks) Try a match or two after a long break and see how amazing your shells hit/tanks get splattered…
There is some behind the scenes shenanigans going on 100%. No more money from me gaijin, you rig the matches, you rig the games you rig the outcomes. so obvious after an extended break. Unbelievable the tanks I killed in those ‘honeymoon first match back games’
It might be confirmation bias, it might be engagement-optimised matchmaking, like in other MMOs.
That’s the problem with confirmation bias. You can’t know which is which. And it would not be related to air in any case.
That said, look at it this way. Even if there is an EOMM, by definition it would affect all players. Not just you. So competitively, we would all be in the same spot regardless: the snail giveth, the snail taketh away :D
