indeed, CAS is ruining ground battles more and more. It’s just stupid how easy you can grind kills and be score board leader. And even with SPAAs you not always can do something against it.
For example: The Gepard bullets travel around at 1100 m/s. So shooting at target 4km away will take the bullets around 3,6 seconds to get there. 3,6 seconds every CAS player has time to dodge them.
And usally after you revealed your position, because everyone can see your tracer rounds, another helicopter or plane kills you instandly.
On average I don’t survive longer than 30 seconds with SPAAs because of this.

Thats why I prefer the term “Air-Battle easy mode” instead of “Ground Battle”

It’s cool that specific AA can maybe do something against them but if I’m not in an AA it’s just bad gameplay. Especially when the guy in the plane/heli had only a cap before dying.

Erm, its the same with Aircraft, if you are in a tank. Its supposed to deal with Tanks, fortifications, Infantry etc. Not Aircraft, Thats why SPAA platforms exist and why to be universal in a game you need atleast one SPAA platform to work as a team player.

I usually bring two SPAAs, since i main sweden and Swedish SPAA at 4.0-7.0 is very much a bad experience untill the U-sh 204gk was added, that helps abit along the way. but not compedetive at 6.0 up to 8.3 where u get the Leopard 2 marksman.

It’s funny as you go higher brs 10.3 and above the stocl starting missiles for the Helis are TOW 2 which have a range of 4km…Well within the range of every IFV with proxy shells and IRST or the plethora of SAMS.

So I assume by 4km your suggesting to the Falanga AT missile?

I get that people want to play a specific vehicle, but if you dont go allround you will be pretty useless. i know its hard and annoying to have to grind SPAA if one doesent enjoy using them but its a sacrifice that has to be made,

Yeah, the LITERALLY most important part of any TT grind is having a viable SPAA and lineup before wasting your free repairs and other materials.

Thats why sweden is so horrible to play at 4.7-8.0 since all ur SPAA option as dogwater and is performing horribly compared to every other 40mm platform, since (im beating this subject to death jesus) the Lvakan 48 is modeled as a L/60 gun in all terms except for Fire-rate where its basically doubled. The Lvakan 48 is a L/70…

Im not saying Sweden has it the worst Japan is quite its own Issue, But anyway,

The point of to have a great lineup its essential to have a great SPAA so you arent useless to deal with aircraft. Cuz having Air dominance is one of the biggest hinders of getting a victory or not!

Having ground only as a game-mode isnt that the devs are afraid it will drain regular ground RB of players instead its just a money pit, a realtively small part of the community will take part in, Not saying people wont enjoy it, but its just, Having aircraft is a very real part of warfare, have a fortified enemy? bomb it!

So my thinking about ground only is just that, well. It will further the issue of players not moving around the map. since there is not need to move after you get a kill. That fear of revenge bombers/helicopters/drones is damn annoying but the other side of the coin is that it makes you move, or it should make you move.

It takes the granate still long enough to let CAS players to dodge it with no effort.

The SPAAs could be replaced with artillery tanks.

Better to wait until <4km to make sure spread and accuracy aren’t effected.

Smoke, cover, Proxy ammo and/or Aircraft.

Funny how certain SPAA can’t target beyond 3.5 km or how all NATO AA proxy ammo is set to self destruct at 3.6 km.

It doesn’t matter if i have AA in my lineup if i’m in a tank and my fun gets ruined by dumb easy CAS… Fuck this “just spawn AA” That doesn’t fucking help! It’s no fun to get killed by CAS in something that cannot fight back!

Basically every Heli with ATGM’s. No way to hit them at whatever range they are with any tank when the Heli is moving up/down and forward/backwards at the same time

This game isn’t a fucking Sim nor is it realistic! CAS is overpowered, Gaijin fucking knows it. If regular Ground RB would not be played anymore than that would just mean that people clearly enjoy Ground more without CAS, which Gaijin should just embrace!
