Play to win

It’s a shame that in a game about military operations, the result of which is the side of the losers and the side of the winners, victory in battle has faded into the background. There are a lot of people who play the same resp, and such players are not interested in winning, it’s just not profitable. It’s a pity that the developers aren’t doing anything about it.Winning by overcoming is what gives an unforgettable gaming experience, and not a puny dose of endorphins. But when half of the team withdraws from the battle after the first death, there is no way to win, or even lose with dignity, you are simply crushed by the mass at the respawn point. Whose fault is it, the players who come out, or the developers who made the game so that it’s more profitable to play in one revival than the whole battle if you win?

A short reminder:

Paragraphs are extremely helpful to transform a wall of text into something more “digestible”. In addition: Most people have a very limited reading comprehension and struggle with longer sentences.

  1. Regarding your issue “Play to Win”:

Whilst i do agree that winning a battle should be the ultimate goal of any video game offering war games - your are surrounded by minors which are looking for a plain vehicle based shooter.

For most of these players the purpose seems to be “The Grind” - meaning the research progress. From my perspective they are simply not interested in demanding game play which might include complex tactics or strategy. A participation reward is ensuring progress even without having a clue how to play.

If these players are the overwhelming majority within the player base it makes sense that gaijin follows these expectations. In addition: If winning a match requires the necessity to learn it is increasing the complexity - which makes the game less attractive for them.

  2. Regarding your question “devs” or “players”:

  • Clearly the players “fault”. Gaijin just offers what their main customers prefer - everthing else makes zero economic sense.

Have a good one!

Is Russia doing this to people? )))

I’m from another country, so my English language skills are at the graduate level)))

Are you saying that defective cards are in demand? Gaijin offers them too, but I doubt most players like them.

No I think he has a point, and I frankly agree. I think what he means is that the game is not about winning or team play, or trying to have fun anymore, and instead the game encourages selfish and ‘cancerous/ratty’ behaviour.

Everything is about the grind now and making progress. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to make progress in research, but the grind is becoming so bad, and the gameplay itself so stale and boring that very few people play just for fun, or in a fun way anymore.

Let’s take this gameplay example: Your team has 2 capture points under controll while the enemy has the last point, and you have a slight player count advantage. Why the hell yould you ever go for that last capture point instead of just spawncamping the enemy team? Yeah you could capture that last point to pretty much ensure victory, but why would you when it’s more risk for SO MUCH LESS reward. Capturing that last objective just ends the game more quickly, which gives you less time to spawn camp I.E. earn a bunch of points. And even if ignoring the objective points causes you to lose, spawn camping is still SO MUCH more profitable, and it’s all about getting the kills and the research points, so why bother playing fair.

Again, there’s nothing wrong with trying to grind and progress researching, but the game itself is often not that fun anymore to play for anything else. Everything is about trying to get to top tier to get the newest, most shiny Leopard or F-18 or whatever, and now very few people realise that you can also just play this game to have fun, which is often found most abundantly at low-mid tiers.

Please use already created threads to discuss one death leavers.

as a side note, in my opinion the game rewards you if you play several vehicles.

  • you can use a back-ups and you play that vehicle 2 times and pay only 1 time the cost of repair.
  • for victory you get a bonus in %

thank you.
