Planned Naval Battle Ratings Decompression

The air changes are super lame, their weapons can barely even scratch the new ships! There is no reason for them to be moved up >:C

Makes sense, thankyou.

Gneisenau is still 7.7 on the dev server, right? So, you’re suggesting Scharnhorst should be same BR as Gneisenau, even though Scharnhorst will have smaller main guns?

Since I’m not supposed to post BR change feedback for coastal boats in this thread, I’ll hold off on that until the next regular BR changes thread.

Mode: Naval Arcade & Realistic Battles

Ship: USS Aylwin

Change: Keep it 4.0 (3.7 → 4.0)

Reasoning: With other destroyers in its BR range being moved up, there’s no reason for Aylwin to be lowered as well. She has extremely strong firepower for her battle rating. If placed at 3.7, she would easily eat coastal vessels like snacks.

when will you fix the armor bug of the ISE and draft of FUSO? these have been confirmed years ago and nothing fixed at all

Scharnhorst will have 3 more guns, which compensates, Scharnhorst also has a faster reload of 17 seconds to Gneisenau’s I think 22. Scharnhorst will have more accurate guns, Scharnhorst can also play around her guns by closing distance, which is made easier as she is one of the fastest high tier ships, and is designed to be a brawler, the closer she gets the better her armour to a point. If its an issue that they are the same BR Gneisenau could always go up… Her armour would potentially be stronger than Bismarcks.

Even if those factors did not exist, sometimes ships have to be bad so every other ship can be good. How is a Bretagne, Kongo, Kirishima, Strasbourg going to deal with a team of Scharnhorsts.

As I said, better to start her there and move her down, than to move her up which we’ve been waiting for for 3 years.

More chances to hit a target means more chances to detonate ammo or disable modules. Gneisenau wont suffer from the reduction in number of shells with her faster rate of fire like other ships. But outside of a few examples at the ranges we play at the 11s on Scharnhorst are enough to penetrate turret faces and penetrate barbette armour.

Should definetly be at 7.7.

Anything that stays put is likely to have an easier time, see all the 4.0 that are moving to 4.3

You can’t die from ammo explosion

Now BRs for Battleshipa are being decompressed. Can HMS Rodney recieve her historical 30second reload rate. Put her at 8.0 if you think thats necessary.

It will see some stronger ships yes.

A few of the stonger 6.0 ships are moving up though, so it won’t be much different from when it was 4.7 seeing 5.7

I don’t really think those already-in-game vessels except Amagi and Mutsu should be uptiered to face the Soyuz and Yamato. Take Hood as example, her main caliber cannot pen Yamato’s belt armor in any regular combat distances, which will totally ruin the game experience.

How often do full uptiers happen in naval? (I play Ground RB far more than naval, and full uptiers seem to happen at least every other game in GRB.) I can’t see the Scharnhorst doing well against the likes of the Iowa, Yamato, or that completely fabricated Russian beast. The Scharnhorst isn’t as tanky as it once was, but I’ve admittedly gotten to the Scharnhorst game much later than many people.

Most ships in game dont do well in uptiers.

My feedback for russia changes
Not sure about arkhangelsk but dont have strong opinion
Kronshtadt→ 7.7 one of the strongest 7.0s currently barely touched by ballistics nerf shouldnt be lower than other current 7.0s
rest seems fine for me
My feedback for germany changes
Scharnhorst → 7.7 same reason as Kronshtadt
Admiral Hipper and Prinz Eugen to 6.0 shouldnt be same br as Nurnberg and Karlsruhe and Spee went up so its obvious change to decompress german CLs too.
Rest of germany changes look fine

Hello

I think it would make sense to unfolder the HMS Armada and HMAS Tobruk. with the HMAS Tobruk being moved to the center line and being place before the HMS Diana / Daring Folder. While the HMS Armada stayed on the left line.

I am saying this as the Tobruk plays more like the Diana / Daring, while the Armada stays on the left line as it is more familiar to the vehicles before it.

Shame the 2 Omaha class in the US line didn’t get foldered as well… they are barely different than each other.

Fair point. :)

Why is Fargo grouped with Brooklyn instead of Cleveland? Fargo-class is direct successor and upgrade of the Cleveland-class, therefore Fargo should be grouped with it, not older Brooklyn-class. Other classes of ships follow this principle, such as Chapayev and Sverdlov, or Furutaka and Aoba, even in the American tree heavy cruisers are grouped in a similar way, so why not Cleveland and Fargo?

Suggestion:
Group Cleveland → Fargo and put Brooklyn where Cleveland is now.

While I like the long awaited decompression, USS Alaska slightly getting that bump up will still give it a death sentence. Can we still keep it at 7.0 since it only has 12in guns? It’s not only soft, but the guns is halfway to an actual battleship. The only thing it is good for is speed and rate of fire.
