Planned Battle Rating changes (table updated 04.08.2023)

I’ve mentioned this before but these are some br changes that I desperately want to see implemented in air realistic battles.

B-29 to 6.7-6.3 range.
6.0 has been a ghost BR for a while now because of the JU-288 spam and how there are no bombers on the allied side to counter the spam. It’s not fun for both sides because 9/10 times it’s a 6 vs 6 and there’s 4 ju288s with 2 fighters having to fight 6 allied fighters. Being an allied fighter chasing a JU-288 is NOT FUN. Being a german fighter having to fight 6 fighters practically by yourself is NOT FUN. If the B-29 was put at a lower bar I believe it would counter the spam so that there are an equal number of bombers on both sides. This would then encourage people to play at that bar again.

Both the F-84B and F-89B/D raised to 7.3.
I love the F-84 as much as the next person but when it was moved to 7.0 it had me scratching my head. It is leagues faster than any other starter jet and has great energy retention and yet it’s at 7.0? That makes no sense. Same thing with the F-89B/D it has a freaking after burner for crying out loud. Not to mention the F-89B has a terrific armament of 6 20mm.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Actually I would love to see a BR decrease, IS-7 down to 8.0 and Object 279 down to 8.3. Not sure if this would mitigate the ATGM situation and Cold War/Modern Era mixing.

Breda 501 its BR in realistic battles must be lowered to BR 4.0 just make a comparison with “8.8 cm Flak 37 Sfl.” it is a vehicle similar to the Breda 501, but its penetration is 153mm, while the Breda 501 only 145mm.

Not to mention that it lacks the crew, the Breda 501 is not even the real Breda 501 on a historical level.
It had 8 crew members not 5
, this vehicle is already easy to be destroyed by tank or fighter machine guns, it does not deserve to stand at BR 4.7.

Drones need to change. Scouting does not, some of us, not everyone tries to use it to scout specific targets who are far away even to where many will not notice them. Ex: Those who engage from a long distance away. There is no strategy to that except charge toward the enemy.

Since a translator for Chat hasn’t been implemented as of yet, so communicating with teammates is very unlikely since A they have it disabled or B do not speak your language. So “Attention to the grind zone/map” is also likely ignored as well.

I agree, 7.0 for Thunderjet is nonsense. Especially if you want to fight them with your ultra slow 7.3 Schwalbe. I don´t want to even mention what is it like playing in me 262 against 8.3 americans. Unplayable…

The vehicle is on wheels. Your trying to compare its gun, not its performance.
Look at the Puma Armored Cars as an example.
Their fast, and because of that speed they’re very very potent.
Yes, the gun isn’t amazing in terms of reloading and penetration and the vehicle being open top but its speed makes it very capable. It should be 4.3 not 4.7 but I digress.

all of my change suggestions I hope will make superprop battles become fun again. no more one sided bomber spam and no seeing f84s/89s in a 6.0 super prop would be a good start.

I’m concerned for the AA capabilitys of my line up. Currently I play ussr at 8.3 with an 8.0 vehicle as AA and by moving up tanks to 8.7 its going to make the AA less usefull against higher br aircrafts. Currently It gets the job done mostly but already struggles against smart players and uptiers as well as being useless as anything but AA … all this is ok though. But now I’m not so Shure especially becouse the gap to the next AA is still 2 steps higher. It would be bad choice to jump .3 br up just for an AA and even worse a double jump but what is a 8.0 shooty boy gonna do against a 9.7 jet or heli. And for what i’ve seen other nation may have the same issue as the AA br is usually the same.
For a suggestion I can think of a few but none sound very good. keeping the Strela at 9 or even lowering It to 8.7 is what sound better but still I’m not shure about the cons on that as I’m dont play planes myself, maybe it will need some nerfing of Strela or buffing 8.0 AA? Maybe it can work as temprary while the same changes are apply to air brs? IDK but that is my concern

I don’t think the Leopard A1A1 should go up in BR. It laks a laser rangefinder and thermals. Its APFSDS also has only 337mm penetration point blank.

one simple change i wish they would add to direct chat messages is the ability to copy there text so you can throw it in google translate. that would make communication a little easier.

SPAAs is a huge overlooked topic in itself, mostly this vehicles are overall insufficient. The USSR is still doing quite well compared to others, such as France…

ZTL-11 has lousy mobility. Even worse the handling of the weapon (its ammunition, thermal and LWS does not compensate for what was stated at the beginning)

SK-105A2 has to improve the handling of the weapon, it is horrible. The oscillating turret feature is conspicuous by its absence, it should be more stable at low speeds, similar to the DF-105.

TAM should receive DM33 and go up to 9.0, many of us buy TAM 2IP to play with TAM, it’s unfair.

TAM 2IP should be able to disable his armor, or improve it, it doesn’t justify those 2 extra tons and he loses mobility.

Leopard A1A1 should stay at 8.7

Rad90 is very good in 9.7, it is an excellent vehicle.

PUMA has already said everything, without comment. It doesn’t need arguments not to go up to 10. We better know what Gaijin’s arguments are to go up to 10.0, it’s unusual.

German sabers should be 8.7 and 9.0 respectively (in general most German planes suck, just because of how they were implemented)

US tanks deserve a nerf, stop coping.

10.7 US is getting bumped up to 11 yet the T90 nor the ZTZ99-II or 99-III are moving out of 10.7 is interesting to me considering they have equally as strong rounds at their respective BR’s as the M1A1 and IPM1 besides that there’s nothing else I really have too much of a gripe with

Have you seen top tier recently

The T-80BVMs damage moddel is incredibly bad the ammo doesnt always explode when it should. The accelaration is crazy The ERA absorbs stuff it has no reason to absorb

2S38 up to 10.7 and should finally become SPAA instead of light tank (as intended by russia)
= lose drone - it’s already good in everything else anyway (hulldown, APFSDS, proxy, IR-tracking)
Also make it have ~20 rounds APFSDS max as OTOMATIC, which also has a total arbitrary limit on it’s APFSDS

Move the Mirage F1 and Mirage 2000-5F down in BR, there’s no reason for them to exist at their respective placement as while there are particularly good players using the aircraft… The aircrafts performance is sub-par compared to their current peers.

Remember when SEP was added and the US win rate was very high?
Do you also remember that time long ago when the USA dominated the game for many years?

The m51 Israeli tank was made in 1968 and has the same round as the df105 that is 7.7 yet its 6.0 and the df105 has 13mm of armor and now its going to 8.0 thats not right you need to include the m51 since its a cold war tank its not fair it fights ww2 tanks they cant compete agaisnt it with its 400mm of pen

I strongly believe the Mirage F1 should be lowered in BR (air RB), here are my reasons :

The Mirage F1’s best weapon is the Magic 2 missile.
This all-aspect infrared missile has a great probability of kill but suffers from two major limitations; it has short range and Mirage F1 can only carry two of them.
It is generally not considered overpowered as a proper use of flares reliably defeats it.

The Mirage F1’s second best weapon is the Super 530F.
This radar missile is extremely ineffective as it is extremely easy to chaff and therefore to defeat.
It has been worked on a lot but it is clear it cannot be improved further for the foreseeable future.
Many players consider this missile to be “dead weight” and prefer to just not take them into battle in order to avoid the additional weight.

The Mirage F1 is also able to equip the much older R530E.
This rear aspect infrared missile is sometimes prefered over the Super 530F due to the fact that it doesn’t appear on the target’s RWR and therefore doesn’t alert it.
However, this missile is also very ineffective as it is extremely slow and very weak against flares.
As a result, it very rarely hits its target either because it cannot catch up to it or because the target dropped flares (which very often happens even if the target is not aware of your presence).

In the end the only effective weapon on the Mirage F1 is the pair of Magic 2 it can carry.

The flight performance of the Mirage F1 is not helping its case either.
It is decently agile at medium and high speeds, but cannot sustain such speeds in a dogfight at all.
It can hold its own against the heavy weights at 11.3 such as the F-4J, but anything more manoeuverable can easily defeat the Mirage F1, meaning pretty much every fighter at that BR is more agile than the Mirage F1.
The poor energy retention and average acceleration also mean the Mirage F1 cannot escape a dogfight.
Trying to dogfight almost any opponent is a death sentence in the Mirage F1.

This is why the ineffective missiles on the Mirage F1 are such a big problem.
Once the two Magic 2 have been fired, the only weapon the Mirage F1 has is its guns, but trying to use them almost always leads to your death.

Going back to the airfield to rearm is also not a viable option, as by the time you get back to the action zone the battle has already been decided.

Conclusion :

Due to all those reasons, I believe the Mirage F1 needs to go down in BR.

I have been told before that this would be problematic due to the high efficiency of the Magic 2.
My opinion on this is as follows :
I would much rather have the Mirage F1 at a comfortable BR without the Magic 2, than the Mirage F1 at a miserable BR with the Magic 2.

As there are two Mirage F1s in the tech tree, it may also be possible to remove the Magic 2 and lower the BR of only one of them.
This way the players have the most options and this could make the F1C and F1CT less similar, giving more reasons for players to get both.

Thank you for reading so far and I hope this will help you better understand the problem with the Mirage F1 and find a good place for it in the game.
