Planned Battle Rating Changes (October 2026) — Aircraft and Ground Vehicle Decompression

How were those graphs made? Last I tested PL-12 seemed to pull tighter than 120c/d and even 120a (probably less G overload but tighter due to AoA). I don’t remember if I was using the PL-12A or PL-12 but don’t they have the same FM?

Maybe, but still.

If some things can be cherry picked and others cant, where is that line drawn?

Revert the MICA seeker buffs?

Remove double racks from the SU-30SM2?

etc etc

The line is drawn where balance, realism and playability meet - eh, too larpy

At top tier the euro is the only aircraft with launch restrictions.
That needs to be removed, ideally for the euro specifically so you don’t touch other brs lower down

If that was the case, the Rafale would have lost its extra “technical compatibility” MICAs, its “technical compatability” HMD and the MICAs would have kept the same seeker as everyone else last year when it was dominating every match without equal.

No the line is drawn where Gaijin can milk the most money out of the playerbase.

Why do you think the T58 is still too low in BR.

You’re not wrong there

idk man, instead of arguing on the forums you can try getting the euro buffed this way

As long as the buffs are reasonable (no Rafale 2.0 essentially) without screwing up other brs/gamemodes idm what you do

Speaking of garbage Balancing, How the ever living fuck is gaijin STILL trying to force the Swifts to live at 8.3 and 8.7

Especially with these new changes, Having multiple Mig-21s and such at a BR where the swift will constantly fight them.

I think the AAM-4 got a new FM, but the buff was considerably less, to the point that now even AIM-120C/D do better in HOBS.

The derby remains the same, but they fixed the tracking/autopilot bugs from my experience. (Similar to the old issue the PL-12 had but even older)

older and less severe yes

Been arguing that for like 2 years now.

What is needed:

  1. Total cockpit overhaul. 0 impact on balance, but drives ANYONE that tries to play it in SB up the wall
  2. Total overhaul of the instructor with Rudder buffs (multiple outstanding bug reports for the FM too, like STR and ITR are underperforming in most regimes)
  3. BOL
  4. A2G Buffs (even just SAL Brimstone 2s and GNSS Spear-3s, but with gamemode restricted weapons an option, I see 0 argument why we cant have more than that in NE)
  5. A2A buffs (From little things like 27mm having the right ammo, all the way up to 9M overhauls and Aim-120 fixes, if that means Ds, then that also means Ds, though I dont think Meteor is that far away either)
  6. Sensor Overhaul (PIRATE is just useless and we have no ESM)
  7. When added Full ECM suite.
  8. more P4E upgrades, like expanded internal CM count, better RWR, Striker II, etc
  9. more flavour additions, like CFTs, Litening V Tpod, Marte-ER, etc

The derby also could not typically pull more than 20G, and often overled the targets.

There is genuinely nothing the Swifts can do at their own BR already, they get out performed by everything, Even lower tier vehicles.

They can’t even use their speed anymore, nor their funny AF flaps now that you made it where they can’t be deployed over a certain speed, despite the fact they were literally both airbrakes, AND FLAPS.

Vehicle: Freccia OWS 30
Gamemode: Ground Realistic
BR Change: 10.7-11.3
Reason: This vehicle is a sidegrade to the standard tech tree Freccia, if not slightly superior due to the unmanned turret. There is little reason for it to retain an old battle rating 2 steps lower than its brother.

Vehicle: A6M5 Ko, Otsu,Hei and A6M6c
Gamemode: Air Realistic
BR Change: A6M5 Hei from 5.3->4.7 (and maybe 5.7->5.0 for A6M5 Ko, Otsu, A6M6c)
Reason: These vehicles were notoriously known to have the overall the worst flight performance among the Zero family, the exchange of performance for defense and “firepower” does not justify the overly high BR where they are basically a sitting duck against super props (Sea Fury, Spitfires or Late P-51, P-47s) and potentially early jets.

After the Bomber Survivibility buff, they can’t even fulfill the role of bomber interception, which ironically, was their job in real life history.

Edit: I forgor to write the names

Yep, pure economy based balancing, hitting ground targets/ bases in the A-5C earns more RP/SL then air to air in the J-7D, so the A-5C goes up and the J-7D doesn’t.
Another case of Zombers pushing a plane up to a BR where it cannot do anything else. There where already a number of threads asking for it to go down, which I don’t really agree with, but it certainly doesn’t need to go up, especially in comparison to the J-7D.

Now zombers will have to work in j7d to make sure it shares similar fate. Gaijin even gave them napalms for that.

When did that happen? I don’t recall them having it last time I played them (maybe I just didn’t look, carrying bombs on that thing should be a ban able offence). Still I think the issue with the A-5C is that it can kill 2 bases with it’s load out, it carries 16 Type 130 rockets and 4 napalm bombs, 8 of the rockets and 2 bombs will kill a base, which is odd given that USA napalm seems to do the same damage to bases with ~200kg of napalm-B that the Chinese ones do with ~60kg of napalm-B.
Regardless I wish Gaijin would balance vehicles through their performance, rather then what they can earn through the lowest skill game play possible.

PRAISE THE LORD AND PASS THE AMMUNITION

I don’t think 9.0 is enough but the fact that it’s moving up at all is a fucking miracle. Also rest in peace 8.3 britain the SPAA leaving is probably bad for that lineup but it’s completely fair to raise them with all of the other SPAA.

spiderman you can't do this to me.

honestly I’m of the mind that the meteor mark 3 (the first one at like 7.0) is just better than the swift 1 just because of how well it turns (also it has more cannons which is better for fighting aircraft, which is what I like to do with my planes in ground rb anyway)
