Planned Battle Rating Changes (October 2026) — Aircraft and Ground Vehicle Decompression

The xm803 isnt going up either with better stats…

So why should the worse t62 go up exactly?

It’s faster, has more missile options, and a better weapon than the J7E, which is ranked 11.3—it makes no sense for it to be ranked lower when it’s actually superior.

They should buff its ammunition; honestly, it’s a really bad vehicle, even back in 8.0—poor mobility, a very slow reload time for a 76mm gun, and ammunition with inconsistent damage and poor penetration. The French 90mm with an arrow penetrates almost as well and deals a lot more damage, plus it reloads in ~6s.

J7E should always be higher than J7D. it pulls more and has massively better energy retention.

? they have the same max speed(limited by vne) and j7e accelerates slightly faster at all speeds = E is faster.

tho yes the D deserves to go up to 11.0

It doesn’t need to go down. KR can stay with Su-30MKK / F-16C and JAS39 at 13.7 Considering MiG-35 will be staying at 14.3 with 77-1 , MAWS and R-27ER and ESA radar. This wasn’t really possible before as it was too good for the 13.3 and a big threat for 12.3s.

With especially the fixed TWS autotrack, 27SM is miles ahead of KR. Not the mention MiG neither posseses the offensive capabilities of F/A-18C Late nor Mirage 2000-5s kit (MAW,CM,RWR coverage with Micas). It will be a even more sidegrade after this change.

No, it shouldn’t
Many currently 13.3 aircraft are moving to 13.7
the KR is significantly better than all of them besides flankers being on par

What you’re suggesting is effectively moving the MiG-29K to what is currently 13.3

Su-27SM needs to go up further than 14.0

Those should also go up

USSR
MiG-29KR (9-41R)
Air Realistic
13.7 → 14.0 ✘

The MiG-29KR (9-41R) has significant limitations that make it unsuitable for a 14.0 Battle Rating (BR). Most notably, its afterburner usage is severely restricted: both the engine and the oil overheat far too quickly, preventing the aircraft from maintaining speeds above Mach 1 at altitudes between 10 meters and 5 kilometers.

Furthermore, the performance of the N010M Zhuk-M radar is vastly inferior to others found at the 14.0 BR. A specific technical issue with the Zhuk-M is an occasional error where targets tracked in Track-While-Scan (TWS) mode exhibit “drift” or unrealistic, false accelerations—appearing to jump to absurd speeds on the Head-Up Display (HUD). This causes Active Radar Homing (ARH/Fox 3) and Semi-Active Radar Homing (SARH) missiles to lose their datalink, resulting in failed engagements. Additionally, as a conventional mechanically-scanned radar—compared to the AESA/PESA systems and other radars present at the 14.0 BR—its refresh rate over wide angles makes it highly prone to losing “soft locks” during intense evasive maneuvers.

oh boy, are you in for a ride or what 😂😂😂

What about the 13.3 aircraft now moving to 13.7 as well?

T-80UD
GRB
10.7 → 11.0

With the current changes, the T-80UD is effectively getting a downtier by not moving up in BR. This should not be the case as it’s arguably still on par with the T-80B (which is moving up) and has overall performance closer to vehicles like the T-80B and T-90A than the T-72B or T-64B

Genuinely have no clue why its not moving up with everything else

It’s doing just fine for me

This is 110%

I can maintain 110% for about 1:50 before engines explode
The engine overheating issue isn’t that serious

As MiG-29SMT (9-13) as MiG-29M (9-15) suffers the same issue with the radar, probably MiG-29SMT and MiG-29M should stay in the current BR they are. Their only advantage is that the SMT and the M have no issues with the engine/oil overheating.

I was hoping this thread wouldnt have devolved into statshaming within three days.

Now you’re completely undoing the decompression gaijin is doing

L26A1 was heavily limited and not wide spread, most challengers were still using L23A1 for most of the Gulf war, and even long after it.

HELL most Challenger 1s didn’t have thermals by the time the Gulf War rolled around due to shortages of the TOGs boxes.

its the same case for Most american DU rounds at the time, it was the equivalent of the HVAP for the 76mm Shermans, YES it exited, But was very limited in the amount each tank had.

Hence why i said widespread use.

That is the issue, once you reach the limit after those 1.50 you’ll have to fly without the afterburner, or engage it gradually to prevent overheating; and be careful not to lose speed during turns—regaining that speed becomes part of the challenge.

In ARB if you survive long enough after the first waves of FOX-3 it becomes a problem to hunt down and be kind of slow.

But besides the engines overheating the radar issue is a big thing that I miss if it is suppoused to work like that or is a bug that hasn’t been fixed.

just go 109% throttle man, watch the video I sent

I have never had issues with the engine overheat unless I was dogfighting someone for a long period of time (Even there my main concern is fuel, not engine overheating)

Another joke of an update, as usual fighters from BR 6.7 down get increased BR and bombers from BR 6.7 get a decrease in BR, with the exception of the T18B and B7A2 neither got to participate in the bomber buff but did get their BR increased, the B7A2 for the second month in a row…It is obvious what you are doing so why not for the November BR change just lower all the bombers from BR 4.0 to 6.7 down to 3.7 and increase every fighter except bi planes to BR 6.7…Then reward every fighter who keeps their planes under 700m for the duration of a match with some GE and you really will be able to bank the green with everyone being shot down 10 times a game…
